Hey There Big Stuff...

I've got big things on my mind.
I was asked by Megan Wille of One Word at a Time to do the "Next Big Thing" Meme.

And I will get to that after I try to explain the big (confusing) blog tour idea I have.

All right here's the plan:
(Please be patient with me. I don't do directions well. Shocking, but true.)
~Everyone who volunteered to host me in January (muchas gracias, by the way) will offer up a prompt. A word, a phrase, a question...whatever you want.

I will write up a guest post based on your prompt, send it to you,  and you can post it any day in January.

Be sure to let me know the date...because...

I will add a page to my blog.

All of the links to host bloggers will be listed there.

I will then ask readers to pick their favorite post and the blogger who thunk up the post gets a $25 Amazon card.

And for all the readers who stop by the page...there will (oh dear Lord, please let technology be kind to me!!) be a rafflecopter set up for a $100 cash* give away.

*By cash I mean $100 however the winner wants it...certified check, gift card, sack of pennies**...winner's choice
**Sack of pennies will only be delivered in the 26155 zip code area

If you want in on the fun (please God, let this not be a nightmare!)... feel free to email me at eseckman(at)ymail(dot)com.

Now if this makes zero sense, I won't be AT ALL surprised, so shoot me an email or a comment and I'll do my dizzy blond best to 'splain things.

Now for the Meme:

What is the working title of your book?
Hoosier Daddy
Where did the idea for the book come from?
The title...I love it!
What genre does your book fall under?
Contemporary romance
Which actors would you choose to play your characters in a movie rendition?
No idea yet. My niece is my casting director and she's shopping.
What is the one-sentence synopsis of your book?
Guy meets girl, guy insults girl...then girl steals guy's heart and makes him beg for it back.
Will your book be self-published or represented by an agency?
No idea.
How long did it take you to write the first draft of your manuscript?
Still drafting...could be a while.
Who or what inspired you to write this book?
It was going to be my NaNo creation.
What else about your book might pique your reader's interest?
The final book will be dipped in chocolate.
What other books does your book compare to in your genre?
Kyra Lennon's books. She's a comrade in romance.

  1. This is a great meme, because it gets us all to open up about our projects. Whoever thought it up is a genius.

  2. Your synopsis is mean!
I keep getting tagged for that one but I've never found room in any of my posts to do it.

  7. I didn't understand the directions but that's not new in me. I think sometimes my brain just gets to the limit of English it can understand in a day and switches back to Spanish. Then everything is just bla-bla-bla to me. But I would host you anytime in the dragon cave. :)

    1. Thanks so much Al! And don't worry about your brain. It's me. I am horrible at directions. I could never, ever be a teacher. Well, I could be, but all my students would be dumb!

I'll send you an email with a better (haha) explanation.

  15. The blog tour idea sounds awesome! I love it. Already tossing around prompts. Oh and I love the premise for the new book. Pretty much any time a man has to beg, er, I mean I love when things start out badly or awkward but then the two characters fall in love!
