Christmas Prayers
It's a prayer fest! |
Merry Christmas!!
On the eve of this holiest of days in the Christian calendar, Mark Koopmans is hosting
50 States of Pray.
It's his hope that every state in the US will be represented by a blogger who shares a prayer, a reflection, or even a passing thought.
So, here is mine from the lovely state of
West Virginia.
West Virginia.
I'm the simple praying sort, so I won't try to fancy it up here.
First and foremost, I thank God for seeing me through another year. I may have spent most of it asking for more of this and less of that, but even in my less than grateful moments...I am aware of what a gift another year is.
Thanks for my friends and family. And for the roof above my head.
Help me be content. I know I am neither the best nor the worst, so help me be satisfied with the gifts He has given me.
Keep my family and friends safe and bring them blessings in the coming year.
And somewhere, someone is hurting. Help me to be mindful that most of my frustrations are mere annoyances compared to the suffering of others.
Lead me to do what is right. Forgive me when I do wrong.
Amen...and thanks again.
