                    of bargains ;)

Now, I'm heading to the southern part of West Virginia for another playoff game. Yep, I will be freezing my toes off, but it's football time!

But, if you're looking for my smiling face and some crazy cat lady wisdom, virtual me is still hanging out with Alex Cavanaugh!

And this little ol' site is in good hands. Nicole Zoltack is here!
She ain't talkin' turkey, but she is talkin' super heroes.

The Allure of Superheroes

Right now, superheroes are everywhere: in movies, TV shows, and comics. With dashing heroes to save the day, we all know everything is going to turn out all right. So why watch the movies?

For the excitement. Superhero movies promise plenty of action and adventure. And, almost always, a little romance. There are always dastardly villains. Good and evil--that classic, age-old battle.

So it's no surprise that for my next release, I decided to write about superheroes. In October, BLACK HELLEBORE will be released. It's the first in a superhero romance trilogy. Nicholas Adams is far from a hero when the story starts out. He's down on his luck, has no place to live, no job. He's basically a bum. Doesn't sound like much of a hero, huh? But that's okay. Things change for him. Oh, boy, do they change!

Who is your favorite superhero? Which superhero movie is your favorite?

Blurb:

Once a year for the past decade, Nicholas Adams returns to Falledge and leaves a black hellebore on his girlfriend's grave. While fleeing Falledge, he spies a shady man sneaking into the laboratory. Nicholas chases after him and dies for his trouble. A witch brings him back to life, only Nicholas is not the same man. Turns out, magic combined with a black hellebore in his pocket changed him into a kind of a super man.
Julianna Paige, his girlfriend's twin and deputy of Falledge, struggles to solve several murders. Nicholas, and his alter ego the Black Hellebore, helps her, even as she helps him move on and start to truly live again.
Unfortunately, Nicholas wasn't the only one changed in the laboratory explosion, and now a super villain is bent on destroying Falledge, and killing the Black Hellebore. But falling in love might prove more dangerous than any super villain.

Author Information:

Bio:
Nicole Zoltack loves to write fantasy/paranormal, romances, horror, historical, for adults and young adults, novels, short stories, and flash pieces. She doesn't want to get boxed in by genre -- she might be claustrophobic! She's also an editor for MuseItUp Publishing and works as a freelance editor.
When she isn't writing about girls wanting to be knights, talking unicorns, and zombies, she spends time with her loving family. She loves to ride horses (pretending they're unicorns, of course!) and going to the Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire, dressed in period garb. Her favorite current TV show is The Walking Dead.

  44. Enjoyed popping over here for Blitz Day, Elizabeth and Nicole! For superheroes and superhero movies, I'm your woman. (Clue: my husband and I have a Batman bathroom.) Besides Batman, I'm a massive Wolverine fan, and do the Winchester brothers from Supernatural count? Iron Man is one of my favorite origin movies ever -- love his character arc.

  47. Shopping, Elizabeth? Perish the thought. I don't like shopping perse and for sure you wouldn't catch me in a store the day after Thanksgiving. No great deal is worth the risk. Sigh...my girl card is certainly damaged. :-) Wait, I did buy a few things online so...that counts right?

Nicole, I like the way you think. True classic superhero stuff, this. I'm going to have to check this one out. I love action stories and movies. Favorite superheroes? Hmmm. In comics I like Spiderman , Batman, and loved the Phantom. I've always loved Captain America. I've read most of his comics.

Wishing you the best on this one!

  64. So superheroes save hearts as well as cities, huh? My best wishes of success to you, Nicole.

Elizabeth, I swung by as part of the blitz. I'm late as usual. No superhero has ever been able to save time for me. I'll go catch the virtual you at Alex's. I love to see awesome spread all over the blogosphere.

    ReplyDelete
  65. Well, even if Nicole is your substitute for this blog, Happy Blitz!

Super heroes have always fascinated me, and I really can't pick one. When I was younger, I had a thing for Jublie from X-man, but I also liked Storm. And Phoenix is cool. And I watched Spiderman all the time. And the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles were awesome. And then there were the Mighty Ducks in space. Way too many.

  66. Happy (Late) Blitz day!! Hope you enjoyed it!

  67. Hi Elizabeth,

I was going to visit your site, anyway. I did get the announcement about your blog getting blitzed, but I think it would be disrespectful to just make note of that.

So here we go onto your posting :) Great post! Thanks for sharing! I follow your blog! Ahem....Your books are duly noted and a quite the bargain price. Lovely to see Nicole having further awareness on here. I do so like a super villain. No, not Nicole. Of course, I wont mention the superhero that is Penny the Jack Russell dog and modest internet superstar! She would get well embarrassed.

Happy football, happy weekend and heck, happy whatever.

    Your starstruck fan,

    Gary :)
