It's challenge day three! Can I manage to post twenty-six times in April? Can YOU answer the questions I ripped  gathered from my handy dandy, old-school, flip through paper pages encyclopedia?

Get them all right and you could win the boobie prize!

(And it's IWSG time too...I'm fashionably late, but I'm here! Post below :)

Today we're doing the letter...

Dudes and Dudettes from Down Under!

1. Who is a gentleman in real life and a feral, adamantium infused mutant on screen?

2. Who wrote "The Thorn Birds"? The 1977 best seller in which sweet Meggie Cleary falls in love and does the dirty with a priest!

3. Who made the ladies drool as "The Gladiator"?

4. Who sang her way to our hearts and the top of the charts in "Grease"...and we still love her, even after "Xanadu"?

5. Who was the wildlife expert and Crocodile Hunter who left us all too young?

Bonus: Who is the prime minister? (Oh, and did you see her India faceplant?)

Ever have the feeling that you're not doing enough? Not writing enough...reading enough...blogging enough...cleaning enough...sleeping enough?

Oh heck, you fill in the blank!

Do you ever have the feeling that you're just not hitting the mark in any area of your life? That everybody else does it better than you?

Yeah, I have those days. Right now as my kids enjoy spring break and I try to juggle A-Z, a sick pooch, and a house where dishes and laundry reproduce like horny rabbits...I am behind on everything! No post reading, no commenting...just water treading.

The sane part of my brain says, "Hey, people get it...we'll get back to our usual schedule in a few days. It's all good."

But then the insecure side says, "People are going to abandon you; scoff at you for being a slug. Your books will tank and you will go to your twenty-fifth reunion a loser."

I hate that insecure side. She's a bitch.

Tell me I'm not alone...please?

trivia answers:
(1. Hugh Jackman ; 2. Colleen McCoullough; 3. Russel Crowe; 4. Olivia Newton John; 5. Steve Irwin; Bonus: Julia Gillard)

  1. I've decided that there aren't enough hours in the day to do what I think I should.... so, should has to go! But I'm still working on that... because I should get so much more done... and there it is.

    1. So...I am not alone! I wish we were made to be fully rested on like an hour a day of sleep. That would be nice!

  2. "Do you ever have the feeling that you're just not hitting the mark in any area of your life?" This feels like the story of my life. At least I'll always have Hugh Jackman to look at. (;

    1. We do have that. And you seem to be hitting all marks from where I'm looking!

  3. You're not alone. We both need to ignore and/or stomp the bitch. Yay Wolverine has made an appearance on a post finally. I have no idea about #2 or the bonus. *Smiles Sheepishly.*

    1. Yeah! Let's stomp her!!! I should have added a picture of him. That'd made us all happy. Well, us ladies at least ;)

  4. I loved The Thorn Birds.

Horny rabbits, huh. I laughed at that one. Sorry.

    1. Never apologize for a laugh...even if I'm the one that trips and face plants.

Thorn Birds is in my top ten besties. Loved it.

  5. Four right today!
Behind? Are you kidding? Next year I'm taking off the first whole week of April from work. Maybe the whole month. The IWSG really set me back yesterday and I am so behind.

    1. Whew! If the Ninja master can get overwhelmed, I don;t feel like such a loser. :D

  6. I rocked that trivia! and don't judge, but I loved Xanadu, lol.

I AM behind in everything. House is a mess, the book I have to get done by May has only 2000 words on it, my kids have been wearing their pajamas for three days, the only thing that has been done is... hmm... let me think about it.

    1. I won't judge. I love you no matter what.

Wow. You probably are feeling overwhelmed! (And for the record, pajamas count as clothes. My boys had the spider man pj's with wings and they wore them night and day. It's the fun of being a kid!)

  7. Four. Four!! Yeah! Yipee! I can leave the paper bag for today.
May I join your club? I think you've been reading my mind these days. Actually, the thought of everyone will just abandon me for not visiting all of them was there only yesterday. I promise I won't abandon you, even if you don't visit me this month. I give you my word of honor and a dragon never gives his word lightly. :D

    1. Is it polite (or smart) to hug a dragon? I make the same solemn vow and I will throw in a pinky swear!

  8. (1) Ah, my favorite Aussie of all time, the one, the only Hugh Jackman, a/k/a Wolverine. Lurve him. (A little too much...)

And man do I always feel like- I'm a day late and dollar short, everyday, just hanging on my fake fingernails, and they are popping off, slowly, one by one...

    1. Hugh is awesome!! Total hottie with a heart!

Add some more glue to those nails and hang on! We'd miss you if you fell off!

  9. That little voice is such a pain in the ass. I mean really, can't she see that you're busy as it is? Does she need to pile it on with the guilt and the fear? But here's the deal, she's pretty much always wrong. I mean, okay, occasionally she's right, but even a broken clock gets the time right twice a day. I recommend hunting her down and stealing her shoes (mine wears freakin prada, the bitch).

  11. You are so not alone! I call my insecure side "Evil Mimsey" and just realize that Evil Mimsey is just trying to keep me down. And eat all the fried chicken. Neither of which is a good thing!

    Fight the man!

And keep up the good work my friend!

    1. Touch my chicken and we'd have problems! Maybe "Evil Lizzie" and "Evil Mimsey" need to find a better hobby.

  12. Fun theme! Yes, I always feel like I'm not doing enough. Probably because there's always more to be done. Trust us, you are not alone.

  16. Aha and now my secret's out! My upside down typing was done from my luxury home in Perth, Australia :) Ah yes, whenever I think of Australia, the name Alice Springs to mind. Where was Mel born? Sorry, you Canberra no more.

Life beyond the computer and wanting to write can get in the way. I do understand. Actually, I use the distractions in my daily life, to write about. Good way for me to bore people. You aren't alone. Right stop commenting, Gary. Brevity man, brevity!
