Author Interview: Janiera Elridge!

It's snowing here in West Virginia and my boys are all home. It's fun, exciting, and well...

from the upturned cups of water on the counter (long story) to trying to open the sunroof to touch the snow...I'm ready to take a break and hang out with the talented Janiera Elridge!!

 1.      You have a cool name? Is there a meaning behind it?
Thanks so much! Actually there is no set meaning behind the name Janiera. My parents just loved the city Rio De Janiero, popped off the O and put in an A! It is different and I’ve always loved it.

2.      Tell us about yourself and your books...in 50 words or less...
I’m a simple young lady who loves books, nacho cheese and Netflix. When I’m not writing, promoting , I’m reading….or talking too much. My books are dedicated to promoting strong ethnic lead characters and telling whimsical tales from many different points of views! I love writing but somedays, writing doesn’t love me but the passion never goes out!

3.      You're about to be stranded on an island, what books do you take ?
The Help, I could read it a million times, Twilight (which made me want to read again) and 11/23/63 by Stephen King because it is the best love story I’ve ever read!
4.      What's your first memory?
Getting a huge Barbie kitchen for Christmas. Wow, I would play with that thing for hours and make my parents play with me. I know  I drove them crazy but I loved it so much!!
5.      If you could morph into any animal, what would you choose?
I’d want to be a dolphin! Their so beautiful and freakin’ brilliant so s a book ners, this is my perfect choice!
6.      What paranormal creature would make the best boyfriend?
It’s funny because I can’t think of any paranormal creature that would make a good boyfriend. A vampire will always want to suck your blood, a werewolf always wants to tear you to shreds and a warlock will want to steal your soul! I haven’t come up with a good paranormal boyfriend yet. LOL.
7.      If you could have lunch with any author, who would be?
Stephenie Meyers, so I could thank her a million times for helping me find my #1 desire: writing!
