Friday Fiction: Kickin' it with the Ninja

One of the worst things about being a writer is trying to convince people that what looks like play is work. Computer time? I swear on my cupboard full of cookies and bon bons that when I sit down at my keyboard, it is for real work!

And no one works harder than Alex Cavanaugh. He is such a beast at getting stuff done that I truly believe the rumors that he is A) not human B) has a host of ninjas at his command or C) has a cloning machine.

Nothing else explains it!

I try to keep his pace and what do I get? Eye rolls.

So, I had to ask Alex...

How many hours a day do you blog and does your wife ever say, "Seriously Alex? The laptop out, again?"

And I find some comfort in his response...

Alex says~ Either that or “Are you going to be on the iPad all night?” Yes, she does ask sometimes. I spend anywhere from three to six hours, depending on the day. IWSG post day is definitely six hours. Fortunately I can do a lot of that blogging from work. My job is so awesome!

Okay, so we know Alex is human...or at least Mrs. Alex is ;)

Have you met the Ninja Master?

If not...you should.

Have you read his book?

If not...you should.

CassaStorm
By Alex J Cavanaugh

From the Amazon Best Selling Series!

A storm gathers across the galaxy…

Commanding the Cassan base on Tgren, Byron thought he’d put the days of battle behind him. As a galaxy-wide war encroaches upon the desert planet, Byron’s ideal life is threatened and he’s caught between the Tgrens and the Cassans.

After enemy ships attack the desert planet, Byron discovers another battle within his own family. The declaration of war between all ten races triggers nightmares in his son, threatening to destroy the boy’s mind.

Meanwhile the ancient alien ship is transmitting a code that might signal the end of all life in the galaxy. And the mysterious probe that almost destroyed Tgren twenty years ago could return. As his world begins to crumble, Byron suspects a connection. The storm is about to break, and Byron is caught in the middle…

“CassaStorM is a touching and mesmerizing space opera full of action and emotion with strong characters and a cosmic mystery.” – Edi’s Book Lighhouse
“Cavanaugh creates such an unforgettable world, and these characters will stay with you long after their story is over.”
- Cassie Mae, author of Friday Night Alibi and How to Date a Nerd

“…the racial conflicts propelled much of the plot in this story, driving home a message that's relevant to our own world and giving the book an interesting texture.”
- C. Lee. McKenzie, author of Alligators Overhead

  11. I've had my fair share of suspicions over the ninja. It's nice to know that he is, in fact, a human being :D
