*Did you know in early Irish custom, newlyweds were gifted with a fermented 
honey drink (or meala, aka mead) as a boost to the new couple’s virility and fertility? They were given enough to last them a month…hence the HONEYMOON… was born!

*We can also thank the Irish for the term, “tying the knot” due to the custom of ceremoniously binding the hands together.
