Good Enough

It's too cold not to dilly dally. Unfortunately, to get to the holiday cheer, I punted everything from my 2025 calendar to 2026, so I am now wading through my to-do lists at a very sluggish pace.

One thing on my writer/blogger to-do list was to update my profile picture. I'm proud to announce, I have that done. My husband took my photo during our travels this fall and a friend edited out the purse I had side-strapped (like any good traveler wears) and the extra collar (because travel calls for layers) from the photo, changed the background and viola! New profile pic!

I crossed this off my to-do list because I stopped thinking I needed to make an appointment and went with a picture I already had on my husband's phone. You know that old saying from our good buddy Voltaire about 'the perfect being the enemy of the good'...he wrote that in 1770, why did I wait so long to listen?

Chasing flawlessness stops us from finishing. Sometimes, good enough is good enough. For me, this profile picture update is plenty good enough and is now off the to-do list!

Above is the edited version. Below is the original. Amazing what editing software can do now! No purse, no unbalanced shirt collar. It's like magic!

    1. I still want human eyes on it, but the software is making polishing much easier.

    1. Nope. In the single digits. Next week, it might be in the teens. For now, the snow is staying where it is!
