Checking In

6:00 AM Elizabeth Seckman 20 Comments

Summer is always a busy time in my house, and this summer is no exception. This summer we pushed our scheduling skills to the test by packing in as many things as we possibly could in the beginning months of summer.

There was graduation...
I've bragged more than a few times, but one more time with the official photo.

A vacation...
The old dog is smart enough to hitch a ride.

A new book...

Then back home...
(He didn't REALLY drive. He just thinks he did.)

Being home didn't mean slow down! Before we've even completely unpacked, there has been a job interview, a 4:00 AM airport pick-up in Cleveland- a city that's 3 and half hours from our home, internship chaos, and a book launch that is still being patched together. I'm surviving, though I am occasionally dropping balls here and there because I'm not a proficient juggler.

Hopefully, summer is ready to be slow and lazy...at least long enough for me to unpack. Maybe read a good book...

WINDY HOLLOW
Beast World MG Fantasy Series, book #3
by Tara Tyler
Available NOW!

In BROKEN BRANCH FALLS, Gabe and his friends go on a quest to save their school, blowing up all the rules, and discover their origins.

Then they go to CRADLE ROCK and meet some real live humans, scaring them into attack mode. The Beasts realize they have to spread the truth ASAP.

Now, school's out, and Gabe is ready for a break from all the drama...

Gabe and his friends fly over the Great Sea for the wedding of the century: a dragon prince and a beautiful harpy. But Gabe can't relax on this vacation. Besides competing in rigorous wedding events, he overhears the nearby human village WINDY HOLLOW is in danger from an evil human scientist and a vengeful were-ogre experimenting on beasts. Gabe and his friends risk crossing the mountains to help, despite several warnings.

Maybe he's going too far this time, but he's in too deep to quit. It's do or die, hopefully not die!

Did you even bother going to bed for that early airport check in?

  7. Of COURSE you're a professional juggler! All good moms are.

If you're looking for some good romantic comedies with a lot of heat, check out some of Tawna Fenske's works. She's the queen of funny banter.

  8. Summer has barely started where I live. I'm still confused to why it's so warm after months of winter. LOL!

    1. Our summer turned cold and rainy, but then the cold ended in horrid heat and humidity. I hated to complain about the heat, but wow...total hair frizzing one step outside the house.
