Good Things

I was kicking myself for forgetting to write a post for today, but then I started thinking of everything I did this week and I realized...I did okay. So, the post for today will be all about the celebrating what I got done this week.

Thanks to our hosts LexaL .G, and Tonja Drecker for this weekly good things check in!

1. I got a revise and resubmit from a publisher I'd be more than happy to work with. After studying the editor's notes, I added another 10,000 words to the story. Hopefully, I filled in all the gaps in the plot. Tammy said I did...soo...fingers crossed. It's back with my agent awaiting her approval.

2. Party time! I love to laugh and one of the pluses of having adult children is that they will go to comedy clubs with me! Actually, my husband, my sister, my niece, and her boyfriend went with Cole and I to see Rob Schneider, but Cole and I rushed the stage for a picture.

Truth? Rob Schneider is a sweetheart. He spent more time with fans than any comic I've seen so far.

3. Hero Lost is out! I got my hard copies this week and there was a bonus to being in this anthology. Living with a bunch of guys and having covers like these:

This cover finally got their attention.

If you're inclined to check out any of these books there all listed on my Amazon page

  1. haha good to get the guy's attention eventually. Rob does seem down to earth, even if his movies are pretty crappy these days.

    1. I watched Sandy Wexler on Netflix with Adam Sandler and the crew; it wasn't bad.

  6. When your sons all have wives, you know they will read them. How cool to have an author as your mom-in-law. Way to go with the manuscript, hope it works out.

  7. Yes - the latest cover is certainly likely to appeal to both sexes so maybe you will get the recognition of your craft from your nearest and dearest :) I personally loved your other romantic covers!!

  11. We love comedy clubs (no surprise, I'm sure) and usually just have to go by ourselves. That's awesome that you got to actually meet and take a pic with Rob Schneider. He looks genuinely happy in that picture. Not bored or annoyed, which is way too common now. I think that says a lot about him.

    1. He was awesome. Very nice guy. He was on stage longer than most, stopped twice during his show to try to fix a problem with the sound because there was a dead spot in the sound of the stage.

    1. Sarah from Sprinkles on Top covers did the Swept Away cover.

Wouldn't you know, we got caught in the rain standing in line, so I had fuzzy, wet hair and was worried, but it looks like it's behaving. Some days, God sends us small miracles.
