That's right. Today, we're talking time travel. It's an amazing concept I never try to wrap my brain around too tightly. I mean, we all know from watching science fiction that if you go tampering with time, things happen.

Not always good things.

And isn't it a given premise in most movies that if future self bumps into old self, the universe or at least your head will explode?

That's pretty risky for a gal who is afraid of motorcycles and lightning.

That's why, my usual answer to the question...if you could go back in time, what would you change...is NOTHING.

You couldn't talk me into time traveling. I'm all for the linear course.

I also like my coffee black and my peanut butter without jelly.

I'll save the time travelling adventure for books, like Crystal's. I've read the first two books in this series, and I am a fan. I'm so excited for Book 3!

Not excited enough to attempt a time shoot into the future, or anything. I wouldn't time travel for much of anything.

But what about you?

Are you adventurous?

Would you move around in time?

TIMELESS (#3 Maiden of Time) by Crystal Collier #CoverReveal

Book Title: TIMELESS (Maiden of Time #3)
Author: Crystal Collier
Genre: YA Paranormal Historical
Release Date: November 1, 2016

TIME IS THE ENEMY

In 1771, Alexia had everything: the man of her dreams, reconciliation with her father, even a child on the way. But she was never meant to stay. It broke her heart, but Alexia heeded destiny and traveled five hundred years back to stop the Soulless from becoming.

In the thirteenth century, the Holy Roman Church has ordered the Knights Templar to exterminate the Passionate, her bloodline. As Alexia fights this new threat—along with an unfathomable evil and her own heart—the Soulless genesis nears. But none of her hard-won battles may matter if she dies in childbirth before completing her mission.

Can Alexia escape her own clock?

1. My mom is being moved from the hospital to a nursing home for rehab. She's in good spirits and ornery as ever.

2. I found Jet.com for ordering groceries online for boy #1 living in the Big Apple. So convenient and reasonably priced.

3. I wrote words! 4 pages full.

  1. That dinosaur Google search made me laugh. I believe it. ;)

It's great to see Crystal's cover everywhere. :)

    1. I giggled about the dinosaurs, but yeah, why not? Now we know WHO invented them--the inventor of time travel. *kicks door shut on time travel machine*

  2. 4 pages is grand indeed.

haha yeah, time travel can mess things up indeed. But then that depends on which theory of time travel you abide. If it is what is supposed to happen will happen then you can't change it what so ever. I wouldn't risk it though, just go to the future, grab the lottery numbers and come back lol

  3. Thanks for the funnies. Made me laugh. When asked about time travel, I've often thought I'd like to go into the future to see if galactic space travel really happened, but then I think, what if instead I find that Earth is a dead rock and mankind doesn't exist anymore? I think I'll stay in my own time and leave well enough alone.
Great news about your mom! And congrats on your writing progress!

    1. I was going to say...you're a brave girl. My dad always wanted to go forward, but it's that whole life has imploded possibility...risky!!

  4. Elizabeth! You are the bestest. Seriously. Thank you for the share and the chuckles.

I'm so glad your mom is doing better. There's so much stress with family health challenges--enough that I'm seriously impressed with your 4 pages. Have some extra cheese, eh?

    1. I would love some extra cheese!! Second only to my chocolate addiction.

  5. I agree about not changing anything in my life. Though I am curious to wonder about maybe getting to see Shakespeare or Jesus so I'm still tempted. But I might try a five minute time jump first to see how I'm affected before ever daring to go back centuries or thousands of years. I'm a strange conundrum indeed. Crystal's cover reveals have been delighted to see across the blogosphere. Liz yours has been the funniest so far. Time travel protests and CIA conspiracies. Of course you traveled the internet and brought these insane hilarious things for us to consume. ;)

    1. Sheena-kay, yours takes the cake in that realm, but this one definitely got a few chuckles too.

    2. Going back to see Jesus would be the only lure for me. That would be completely worth the time jump risk...and if I exploded, he could heal me. Win win.

I'm glad mine was the funnest. :)

  6. Luv the pic on time travel...made my day:) And Crystal's cover is superb too! :)

  7. Time travel in books is great. In life I prefer moving forward, rather than backwards, sideways, or in any other direction. I also, like my PB without Jam. How boring am I?

  8. Wonderful post Elizabeth, I too would rather look forward and keep my past as wonderful memories.
    Yvonne.

  9. Loving the cover of Timeless! But I'm with you -- I'm not interested in time travel coz I'm sure I'd mess something up. I loved the funnies at the beginning! I'm glad your mom's doing well in her new home. Your son's in NYC, the mecca of 24-hr-grocery stores and international restaurants that all deliver, and he needs you to find him one? I assure you as a past NYC resident, he'll do fine. Yay for writing 4 pages! The only writing I'm doing is interviews and guest posts... *facepalm*

    1. LOL. You don't have your butterfly dance perfected, eh? (As in the dance you do to keep from stepping on butterflies.)

    2. Hey, that's important stuff- the interviews and posts.

I may be emailing you, past NY resident. We live in a town without public transit. This is pretty new to us.

  10. I heard recently that there's an actual theory that there's an actual theory that the lottery was designed specifically to catch time travelers. When someone cashes in a big ticket, the government can then check them out. Conspiracy theorists are a weird bunch!

    1. LOL! I love it. Great premise for a book right there.

    2. I'm with Crystal. There is a story in that theory.

  11. Congrats on the writing and family stuff. I wouldn't be jumping to time travel either. I'm sure I would ruin the universe.

    1. But what if you only ruined it a little bit? Wouldn't it still be worth it?

    2. I always thought I was weird not to want to travel. I'm feeling very normal today.

  12. I've always loved the idea of time travel - not to change anything, mind, just to pop back and see what it really was like in different times of history!! :D

    2. Now, if I could just be a fly on a wall...I might be willing to do that. Okay, so maybe not a fly...someone might swat me.

  13. There are all kinds of great things in your post today. Crystal, of course. Then your words that you put down on the page (in the computer or wherever) and your very funny image at the top. Thanks for the pleasurable visit, Elizabeth.

  16. I think I'm happy to stick with the present as well. Though I wouldn't mind stopping time for a little bit, just to take a few deep breaths and zen. And maybe get some writing done. :)

  18. I've read so many stories about someone going back in time and causing problems, I'd be afraid to try it myself. Still wound't mind seeing dinosaurs up close and personal though.

    1. You are officially insane. Dinosaurs are the last thing I want to see! And definitely not up close and personal.

  19. I would save the time travel concept for Crystal too. She's rocking it beautifully.

  20. Great to see Crystal's cover here! Yeah, I'd time travel, but only if I would be a "fly on the wall" and know that I couldn't change anything, because I know I'd mess stuff up. It would be cool to see how something like Stonehenge was actually built, for example.
