About Me...

I'm so used to small towns and everybody knowing everybody else, I totally didn't consider people had no clue who Elizabeth Seckman was. I got a message in my inbox from a gal who bought my book because she liked the cover. She read it; loved it; and became a facebook friend.
She had no clue where I was from or that I am most famous for having a house full of boys.

Now, I consider readers friends and thought I better share the basics. So, I added an About Me tab on the blog and since I am also trying to wrap up book #2 and get some writing done...I'm going to replace a blog update with a link to my new ABOUT ME page.

Later...I'm off to write!!!

  1. I like it! I especially love the part about knowing what was happening when you heard your mother call your name in that particular tone of voice. My home town wasn't quite as small, but I had the bittersweet fortune of looking just like my mother and grandmother, so even people who'd never met me would see me out and about in town and say "That must be Renee's daughter/Lois' granddaughter" and decide to call them to inform them of which R-rated movie I'd just sneaked my way into. Small towns... love 'em, hate 'em, but at least write about 'em :-)

    1. So true! And when my boys were little, they were out trick or treating and three of them were on the porch and the lady (who they didn't know) said, "Why, that's just three of you. Where's the fourth one?"
I just smiled. Welcome to small town boys...better keep your noses clean!

    1. Thanks Lisa!
I wasn't sure what or how much to put in either. So, I went with what I think best defines who I am.

  4. Great idea. I am always delaying stuff like that so good to see you got to it. Trust me Lizzie, when your fans read a bit about you they'll go crazy and want more. And Lisa, I feel your pain. With mine (when I get it done) I think I'l focus on my life, books and my fave blogs/bloggers. When I ...get to it. Best of luck with everything in life Elizabeth!!

    1. Yes, they were. And they grew up so fast. Just when I thought I'd never be done with car seats, they were getting body hair!! So unfair.
