Stalker Mom and an Award

Cassie Mae over at "Reading, Writing and Loving It" gave me this award.

And I love it. He's a cutie pie!!! (do I lose my nerd card for calling a storm trooper cutie pie?)

Now Cassie either really didn't attach strings to this award or I'm in summer reading mode and skimmed over them.

But here's what I'm gonna do...

First of all... Thank you Cassie. This little fella is adorable!

Second...usually you have to tell something about yourself...so I am admitting I have become that crazy middle aged lady who talks to little kids in stores and says, "I have four boys...they used to be little like you" as they stare back at me with that petrified is this the stranger mommy warned me about? look.

Like this isn't typical old mom weird enough...I also find myself admonishing short tempered parents...have patience mom, they grow up so fast...buy the animal shaped plates...they won't want them when they are packing for college. :(

Watch out Boeing...Ian Andersen is on the job!

Third, a blogger is usually asked to pass this award along...and I have the perfect person...Ian Andersen! He's not a blogger...he's a little fella with a paper airplane business. He doesn't have a blog...but his mom, Jessie Andersen over at The Rabid Writer, can accept for him.

Keep up the good work Ian! My boys used to be little like you!!!

And I'm the one who's trying to sell her boys in the middle of the store.

    1. LOL...my saddest moment was when boy #4 went to school and I thought, "YES! Shopping without a hassle!!" Then I got there and missed being harassed for something from every aisle. I almost cried in Wal Mart.

(Now if they're really for sale, I do have pay pal and you can ship them UPS)

  3. Fellow SAHM, lover of all things Star Wars, here. Nice to meet you. I followed the little Storm Trooper to your blog. He's just so darn cute, I couldn't help myself. LOL Nice to meet you, I'm following you now. Not in the stalker kind of way, more of a 'I need a reminder to keep my cool with my kids' kind of way.
    Cheers!

    1. Yay!!! Love to find other great minds like myself. And yes, do stay calm. Stress will wrinkle your brow and it's really NOT worth it! I saw on your blog that you have three boys. Knuckle bump. Boys rock! (I have 4)

  5. Congrats, Elizabeth! Well, we all have our own special kind of weird. I go to book festivals to hear children's writers, and then I'm the only one there over 8 without kids. People do look at me kind of weird. But us weird people make the world interesting.

    1. As writers, Jess, I suppose we could call it eccentric and blame it on our genius. :)

  7. Thanks for the shout out for Ian. He'll be so excited. His next endeavor is to create his own style of planes instead of using someone else's. He was working on it yesterday.
