First, welcome Annalisa Crawford, writer of amazing, thought-provoking fiction. I always look forward to reading Annalisa's work and she is launching a new collection of stories today!
3 facts about The Clock in My Mother’s House
Facts, although not necessarily interesting ones…
1. A Thousand Pieces of You was inspired when a very large mirror in our house fell off the wall
2. In this collection I inhabit the bodies of a non-verbal man who uses a wheelchair, a sat nav, and a woman who sees the future
3. Several of these stories were mentioned on the short- and long-lists of prestigious competitions. Now I aim to win one of them!
Life can change in an instant, but that’s not always a bad thing.
A hotel explodes leaving staff and guests in peril; a woman retrieves an old
clock from the attic with disturbing consequences; one man leaves heart break
behind him, and another arrives to bring adventure.
In this haunting collection, Annalisa Crawford creates characters who will
charm, captivate and intrigue you.
Annalisa Crawford lives in Cornwall, UK, with a good supply of moorland and beaches to keep her inspired. She lives with her husband, and canine writing partner, Artoo. She is the author of four short story collections, and two novels.

Talk about life changing in a good way!!
Not only is there a new Annalisa Crawford book to read, but are you ready for this?
Boy #1 and his wife are going to have a baby. That makes me a grandparent!
Can you believe it? When I first started this blog, all of my boys lived at home. I think the youngest was still in junior high. Now they are all grown men! In addition to the newest little Seckman, Boy #4 graduated with the masters in accountancy from WVU. That means I completely emptied the nest out.
Good thing there's a baby on the way...
Now, I am off to grab a copy of Annalisa's book. It will keep preoccupied whilst the baby "bakes".
