Thanks to our hosts Lexa, L .G, and Tonja Drecker for this weekly good things check in!
1. I got a revise and resubmit from a publisher I'd be more than happy to work with. After studying the editor's notes, I added another 10,000 words to the story. Hopefully, I filled in all the gaps in the plot. Tammy said I did...soo...fingers crossed. It's back with my agent awaiting her approval.
2. Party time! I love to laugh and one of the pluses of having adult children is that they will go to comedy clubs with me! Actually, my husband, my sister, my niece, and her boyfriend went with Cole and I to see Rob Schneider, but Cole and I rushed the stage for a picture.
Truth? Rob Schneider is a sweetheart. He spent more time with fans than any comic I've seen so far.

This cover finally got their attention.
If you're inclined to check out any of these books there all listed on my Amazon page.
haha good to get the guy's attention eventually. Rob does seem down to earth, even if his movies are pretty crappy these days.
ReplyDeleteI watched Sandy Wexler on Netflix with Adam Sandler and the crew; it wasn't bad.
DeleteCool you got a photo with Rob.
ReplyDeleteHey, maybe now your boys will read one of your books.
It has the best chance of it.
DeleteYes, are they beyond the admiration stage yet? LOL My family's not interested at all.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! Sounds like a deal in the offing!
They're more impressed with a steak on a plate than any of the books.
DeleteThe Hero's Lost cover is really captivating. Congrats on the R&R - awesome news, keep us updated!
ReplyDeleteIt is a great cover. I will keep you posted!
DeleteWhen did you pub so many books? Such lovely covers! They should be splashed all over your header. Yay for the night with Rob Schneider and good luck with your R&R!
ReplyDeleteThat's about five years worth of work. I'm getting slower every year.
DeleteWhen your sons all have wives, you know they will read them. How cool to have an author as your mom-in-law. Way to go with the manuscript, hope it works out.
ReplyDeleteVery true! Some of their girls they're friends with have read them.
DeleteYes - the latest cover is certainly likely to appeal to both sexes so maybe you will get the recognition of your craft from your nearest and dearest :) I personally loved your other romantic covers!!
ReplyDeleteSpecial Teaching at Pempi’s Palace
I love the romantic covers too.
DeleteAt least they like the look of one of your books! Good luck with the publisher interest!
ReplyDeleteI have my fingers crossed!
DeleteYay for a picture with Rob! You do have quite a few books out...and another one coming, by the sounds of it :)
ReplyDeleteI hope so!
DeleteHow cool that you met Rob Schneider! I've never been to a comedy club but it sounds like a laugh (boom boom!)

I love comedy clubs. Great way to spend an evening.
DeleteWe love comedy clubs (no surprise, I'm sure) and usually just have to go by ourselves. That's awesome that you got to actually meet and take a pic with Rob Schneider. He looks genuinely happy in that picture. Not bored or annoyed, which is way too common now. I think that says a lot about him.
ReplyDeleteHe was awesome. Very nice guy. He was on stage longer than most, stopped twice during his show to try to fix a problem with the sound because there was a dead spot in the sound of the stage.
DeleteYou did accomplish a lot. Here's a well-deserved pat on the ole back.
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteHow great to get a photo with Rob!!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on getting that R&R and filling in the holes. And another huge congrats on Hero Lost.
Thanks...on all counts :)
DeleteCongrats on all you've done. That is a great photo with Rob Schneider. Yay on the resubmit. You go girl!
ReplyDeleteThanks!! I have my fingers crossed.
DeleteI love it. Rob Schneider is a cutie, and you look gorgeous next to him.
ReplyDeleteWho took your photo for Swept Away?
Congratulations on your continued, impressive progress.
Sarah from Sprinkles on Top covers did the Swept Away cover.
DeleteWouldn't you know, we got caught in the rain standing in line, so I had fuzzy, wet hair and was worried, but it looks like it's behaving. Some days, God sends us small miracles.
I'd say you got something accomplished! Woot on the revise and return! I hope it works out well. :)
ReplyDeleteMe too! :)
DeleteHow cool that you met Rob Schneider! It's nice to find out some of those guys are actually nice people ;)
ReplyDeleteI can see why they were suddenly taking notice of that latest book cover :) It's the type to appeal to both sides, i think.
That is great to find people who are interested in fans as people, not just consumers.
DeleteSounds awesome opportunity! Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteWow! Congratulations!
