Today I'm over at Donna K. Weaver's discussing how publishing is a bit like dating.
We all know...dating is hard!
Remember to visit Donna and comment! I'm tallying up the comments for a swag pack winner :)
1. My boys are coming home from college this weekend.
2. I bought a carafe for my coffee. Now I can keep a whole pot warm and within arms length.
3. My Facebook street team is up and running! Thanks to Sonya Hedricks for organizing it.
GOALS UPDATE:
2015 Goals: Publish two books: on track! Defying Reason is out. Hoosier Daddy drafted and ready for edits. Master marketing: Facebook Street team is up and running (repeats are ok, right?) More book events: Signed up for a book fair in Weirton, WV in May and having a book chat at a retirement home in March. |
Hot coffee always within reach sounds good. Boys coming home is even better. Enjoy.
ReplyDeleteYes, it's a beautiful thing...the coffee and the kids :)
DeleteIf I have coffee within reach I would never move. hahaha...good idea! Yay for the boys coming home!
ReplyDeleteThere are still potty breaks to get you moving :)
Deletemy online profile looks like that...
ReplyDeleteI think it's a clever profile that shows a sense of humor.
DeleteHave a great weekend with your boys!
ReplyDeleteThanks :)
DeleteA steady supply of coffee is always needed. Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteIt is brain fuel.
Deletehaha dating does suck. Enjoy your weekend with your boys
ReplyDeleteYup. So glad to be married.
DeleteHave fun with your boys:)
ReplyDeleteThanks Robin :)
DeleteEnjoy your time with your boys and well done on getting stuff done!

Thanks Shah!
DeleteEnjoy that wonderful time with your boys!!! I predict laughter and hugs! :)
ReplyDeleteAnd yay for coffee carafes, and awesome street teams!
Way to go with your goals! You rock!
Lots of laughter...they enjoy making fun of me. LOL
DeleteOff to check it out! I don't drink much coffee--just one cup in the morning and sometimes hot chocolate later in the day. I like the flavored stuff, so we have a Keurig.
ReplyDeleteYour link to Donna isn't working--I'll search and track it down, though!
DeleteI am having the worst time with my links. I need to start checking them. Oy.
DeleteI switch between coffee and tea. My son loves tea, hates coffee and gets mad when I mix the two without mentioning it to him.
DeleteThose comics are so funny! It's great that your boys are coming for a visit. Yay for coffee and new carafes! A great big "Woot!" for your FB street team!
ReplyDeleteThanks Lexa!
DeleteWhen the kids get in - it's the best! Love coffee. I keep a carafe going too. Have a lovely weekend.
ReplyDeleteGoing to Donna's now.
Great minds think alike Dixie!
DeleteYay for your boys coming home for the weekend!
ReplyDeleteAnd it sounds like you have all kinds of amazing stuff going on right now! Awesome. :)
Thanks Kristin!
DeleteHey Twinny:)
ReplyDeleteLove that name for your new book... I'm not from this country, so it took me a few seconds.. .and then I was like, "OHHhhhhh, Hoosier..." so well played :)
Like the goals update, too! Have you ever considered joining a group of like-minded people (It may be a small group :) and you could update there every week, too :)
PS: Sounds like the marketing *is* coming along... good for you :)
I second Mr. Koopmans' words, except I caught onto Hoosier more quickly, being as I'm in the country of Paternity Tests that are likely soon available at the drive through window of your nearest Starbucks.
ReplyDeleteYou're rockin and rolling. I'm ever proud of your progress. I do believe you're doing fine keeping up with Alex's shadow (as much as anyone could).
Love ya, girlfriend.
Happy weekend.
I wish I could claim equal success with my goals! Good on you, and good luck with those edits.
ReplyDeleteAngeline
Hoosier Daddy? Seriously is that the title? Ha ha! Oh boy that will be one heck of a read I'm sure!!! Go girl! Sounds like you are on a roll....
ReplyDeleteWonderful! Keep on, keeping on. I too love the name of your book. See you on the 9th for Defying Reason!
ReplyDeleteWeirton? My sister lives there. I should visit in May!
