Happy Halloween!
It's candy time!
Anybody need help with candy eating triage?
Start with the big chocolate bars first, then onto to the small chocolates and caramels. When that's all gone, you will have to make do with Tootsie rolls, taffy, and hard candies.
It is still hard candies, right? My kids said saying that marks me as old.
I remember making fun of my mom for saying Bobby socks.

My goal for the year was to publish two books in a year.
Here's the progress update:
Defying Reason: Done and with the publisher. No idea how long edits and such will take. It's still a "Coming Soon!" release date. I do have a cover....check it out.
Hoosier Daddy: Nothing concrete. Mulling over the plot and planning some changes.
Flip My Heart: Haven't given it much thought at all.
Cherries: Reworking plot outline.

DeleteCalling it "hard candy" makes us sound old?! I didn't know that. I just call it "the crappy candy nobody wants." That sounds like what they'd say. I do learn a lot working with these 20-something editors who inform me that some of the wording I used wasn't even used when THEY were in middle school!

I bought a bag of Jolly Ranchers, and you know they sell Jolly Ranchers chewies and hard candies- so I told my children (brats) that I got some hard candies and they had the best fun making fun of me. They called the van a buggy, the gas petrol...on and on...for most of the ride home.

ReplyDeleteI entered as many of the rafflecopters as I could, but Goodreads didn't give me any confirms for adding the books to my TBR, which is fine. I found a giveaway for a print copy on GR and entered that too! :)
Not a single trick or treater came by yesterday, so I have all this candy left. Thank goodness I gave a little to the cable guys yesterday. Oye! Sophie and me are going to be on some serious sugar rushes for the next few weeks... Hugs.

DeleteI have a ton left over too. We had very few stop by. I just sent bags full of candy to my college guys. It should disappear there!
My husband always perused the kids bags on Halloween looking for snickers, and would take a few, calling it "Parent tax!" It got to be a standing joke! Thanks for the head's up on Crystal's novels, and for dropping by my blog!

That gave me quite a chuckle. My mom still has the candy dish filled with hard candies, as did my grandmother. Funny- we're the obese generation and they left candy all over!
