So, won't you please visit me at Rachel Schieffelbein's for an interview?
I was a busy gal last night.
I scrubbed down my bathroom, exercised, and signed the contract for my fourth book.
The bathroom totally needed a thorough scrub and I was in a time pinch, so I used one of these:

It was genius. Why didn't I think to do it before? The mix of Comet and dish soap made the tub sparkle in a flash!
As for the exercising, I'm paying Carter (boy #3) $2.00 a week to be my trainer. With exercises like skull crushers and an hour on the treadmill...I'm beginning to think he's in cahoots with his dad to off me for my life insurance money.
Now, about that book!
Bella's Point is my baby. I love this book. I've wanted to write this book since I read Gone with the Wind and wondered...what if the character had the heart of Melanie Wilkes and the fire of Scarlet O'Hara?
The result? Isabellla Francine Troy Stanley, or Bella for short.
And I am just giddy...Lora Yeater, the gifted lady behind my author photograph, is going to take the pictures for the cover for Bella's Point! I am so thrilled. We were discussing what my plans would be for this story and she mentioned she would love to try to capture the spirit of the book on film. Would I mind?
Would I?
Hah! I'm so excited...not even skull crushers or the scrubbing of the tub could bring me down!
Congratulations, Elizabeth! Having such exciting news would give me the energy to do some good housecleaning, too! Well.... even though I'm happy about lots of different things right now...I still haven't done much cleaning! LOL. It's so darn cold here, all I want to do is snuggle under the covers, eat, sleep, and do a bit of writing...The laundry and housecleaning are just piling up! :)
ReplyDeleteI need a "Hazel!"
I'm feeling that way too Becky! I have to make myself do the basics. Once spring comes, I'm going to have to do a thorough clean! And a purge. Got too much clutter around this place!
DeleteCongratulations on signing! That's amazing, and that cleaning gizmo looks like something I might need. Also, it's pretty awesome that you are paying your son to be your trainer (umm, what's a skull crusher? Do I want to know?)
ReplyDeleteThanks Rena! A skull crusher is when you take dumb bells and raise them over your head and bring them down behind your neck. I guess if you drop one, it's a skull crusher.
DeleteExcellent
ReplyDeleteThanks Barry :)
DeleteCongrats!!! I am so happy and excited for you!
ReplyDeleteThanks Hilary!! I'm excited too!
DeleteAwesome, congratulations!! And I love skull crushers - I hope your arms are aching today!! :-)
ReplyDeleteEvil woman. Yes, they are aching. Today is legs. Ugh. You people who enjoy this sort of agony are just touched in the head. Hehe. But, it has to be done. I want to live a healthy life and all that blah blah blah.
DeleteI like your attitude! I'll pop over to read your interview. Best of everything with your new release!
ReplyDeleteThanks Karen!! And to think all those years people have tried to get me to have a little less attitude...
DeleteCongrats, that is awesome news. Hopefully it is on screen before you get offed for the life insurance lol
ReplyDeleteI don't know Pat, the money I have in the coffers, the closer I may be to my coffin!
DeleteGiddiness is allowed. Congratulations, Elizabeth.
ReplyDeleteWoo hoo! Congrats Elizabeth!
ReplyDeleteThanks Mary :)
DeleteThat's fantastic Elizabeth!! Enjoy enjoy!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Pk!
DeleteYou were a busy bee! Congrats on book #4!!
ReplyDeleteStaying busy keeps me out of trouble, for the most part ;)
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to read Bella's Point. Bella sounds like a character right up my alley - love your inspiration for her! Congratulations!!
ReplyDeleteOooh!!! Yay! I'm glad you like the idea. I've always thought the blend could make an awesome character.
