News and Bits

Friday night was Cole's Senior Night. It never fails to amaze me how quickly my kids have grown up and above me. All four are now taller than Mom...not really an amazing feat considering my height challenges, but still...

And I'm sure to the other team, my little fella is a bit of a menace, but to me he will always be...

                                                                My little boy.

I couldn't be prouder.

And he couldn't be happier...check out this news clip. What a way to finish his regular season!

That's my news...now for my bits!

Fate Intended had it's last edit. Now to the proof reader, and then?

Publication!

So happy. Celebrated by seeing Thor. Sigh. Total sigh. He was shirtless. My husband complained about the "gratuitous nudity".

Gratuitous or not, I was grateful, and I believe there were a few more scenes where shirtless would have fit into the plot very well.

And then...I opened my email this morning to be greeted by an award. :)

I'd like to thank Christina Constantine for the Sunshine Blogger award. It's much appreciated!

And in remembrance:

The passing of Nick Wilford's stepson, Andrew, reminds us that life is short and sometimes sad, but always better with friends. The blogging community sends its hugs, prayers, and support to Nick and his family during this tragic time.

Great to see Cole do so well in his last regular game (?) Sorry, I'm a bit clueless when it comes to football, but the pick/interception thingy looked great :)

  2. Hi Elizabeth,

How quickly the time passes. It seems we blink and our children are adults. And yes, no matter what, he will forever be your little boy. Adorable photos, all of them.

And here's to your last edit. Must of been fate.

Congrats on the award. I wonder what version of Spirit in the Sky you like. Congrats to Sheena-kay on getting bestowed :)

The thoughts of this powerful community for the good, are truly on the way to Nick.

  5. Love the pictures, a cute little boy grown up into a fine young man. I especially like the one of you and your son. I hope mine will still want to hold my hand for pictures when he gets older. Congrats on the award, and Sheena-Kay is a great choice to pass on the bloglove. My heart still goes out to Nick and his family too.

  7. So much going on on your end. I can't imagine what it will be like when my young ones become HS seniors, knowing it's not that far down the road! :)

  8. Aww, what great pics. Congratulations to Cole and to you as well. You must be so proud of him.
Peanut Butter is my favorite food too. I could live on peanut butter and cheese (not together) and be happy.:)

  9. Ohhhh... I seriously love your family, Liz. I do. You seem like you have the happiest/warmest home and such a great relationship with your boys. I admire that.

  10. What a little cutie you had! I'm pretty lucky because mine are still small enough for me to pick them up - okay, #1 son is just over five feet but I'm super strong... it just looks a bit odd and I don't do it in public :-)

  11. Ah man, when kids grow UP they do grow UP! I'm worried mine will get to be taller than me. The only person I managed to be taller than was my mother, so I fear that's in my future as well.

On the other hand, Zang, looks like your boys play some mean football!

  14. Haha! Gratuitous nudity. It's shirtless. Geez, can't we have more?

  15. Oh that picture is so cute! Sigh-- yeah whenever I think of how old my kids are, I feel like humming Sunrise Sunset from Fiddler on the Roof. My "baby" graduates high school this year and my first-born just graduated college. Empty nest, here we come!
