I Miss You...
Before we get started with the fests and stuff, I want to thank Gwen Gardner for allowing me to share my thoughts on indie writers. And to R Mac Wheeler for allowing to stop by the Safari and share some shots of home.

These three thoughtful guys are offering us the opportunity to pay tribute to our fellow bloggers by naming a few we miss and a few we'd totally miss if they left bloggie land for the harsh normalcy of reality.
The only bad thing is...it's sooo hard!!! I can only choose three?
Well, here goes:
Leigh Covington. One of the sweetest bloggers and commenters on the block. We all know her evil persona Abby made her get a day job, and now she only pops up every now and then.
You remember her, right? |
Angela Cothran She's smart, she's funny...she's a new mommy, so she is busy and sorely missed.
Come back and school us Ang! |
Ya'll seen this lady wandering around Arkansas? |
Now, this whole who would I miss if they fell off the blogosphere...now that's just darned tough! I should plead the fifth, but I won't...
Alex J. Cavanaugh
The blog world just wouldn't be the same without him...or his ninjas.
Father Dragon
I'd miss Al. No more fireworks? No more Tassin? Get over the BBPGS already and stay put!
Gary Pennick
And his little dog Penny too! I would be so sad without his wonderful, eagerly anticipated comments and posts.
And now, in other news...if you haven't seen J. Noel's cover, you're missing out!
It gives me cover envy. It's that good.

Author
Bio:
After
doing some freelance writing and editing for more than a dozen years,
Jay decided to stop procrastinating and pursue his dream of being a
novelist. He's been blogging for over eight years, and even had a
comedy podcast syndicated all over the internet. All of that was fun,
but all the steampunk-inspired stories in his head just wouldn't
leave him alone. Jay spends his days working in medical sales, but he
can be found toiling over his laptop late at night when all is quiet.
He
draws inspiration from all over: H.G. Wells, Jules Verne,
Shakespeare, Ray Bradbury, Douglas Adams, and Isaac Asimov.
And
Jay loves cookies.
So I'm not the last one to post about Jay's new cover. Kidding, it looks amazing though. Leigh has definitely lessened her posting time but so have I so I think I know that the decision is a tough one. You made some great picks and Alex must have a no retirement clause in his ninja contract. Pop on by to see who I would miss.
ReplyDeleteI have been so far behind on so many things Sheena-kay, but I had to share...even if I was late!
DeletePicking who I would miss was a huge challenge. I love all you guys!
eTwinny !!!!
ReplyDeleteI do miss "Leibby" as I call Leigh/Abby, but I know that real world thing has to be done :)
Great choices on the others - I have Father Dragon, too. :)
Yes, that real world stuff must be done!
DeleteLooks like our great minds thunk alike!
I miss Leigh and Angela, too!
ReplyDeleteIt could have been you on the "miss" list, but I'm so happy to see you're back!
DeleteCongrats to Jay.
ReplyDeleteSometimes I get so hooked on a blogger's posts that I miss them when they go offline or post less.
I agree. They quickly aren't just blogs, they are friends.
DeleteI miss Celeste's posts too. I never had the chance to meet Leigh or Angela. And Father Dragon is a must. The blog-o-sphere wouldn't be the same without him.
ReplyDeleteYep, he must stay. And forget the guilt. We must do what we can and not worry about it so much.
DeleteI know all three ladies you listed in the "miss" group and I understand! They're all very sweet.
ReplyDeleteThey are all very sweet...and talented!
DeleteI agree, that is one awesome cover!
ReplyDeleteI also had a hard time narrowing the field down to only three blogs. But this is the second time I've seen this Father Dragon mentioned, so I just might have to check him out. :)
And Alex, well, the world-wide web is a much better place with him in it!
Oh yes, you must check out Father Dragon. And is our glue, he had to get a mention!
DeleteI miss Leigh as well.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Elizabeth! I won't ever vanish.
Al is on a lot of lists today. Hope he sees them.
I think he'll catch a few...I hope!
DeleteJay, LOVE IT!!!! An awesome cover for a very excellent story!! Can't wait to read the next one now:)))
ReplyDeleteIsn't it impressive? I haven't read the story, but will add it to my list.
DeleteGreat bloggers and choices! I think Jay's cover is full of awesome.
ReplyDeleteI think you're right :)
DeleteYou picked a couple I thought about mentioning in my own post! Kept it short and sweet, but I'm so glad to see they've been mentioned more than once in this blog hop!
ReplyDeleteIt was tough. A very tough post to write!
DeleteI know and would miss each and every one of those you listed. Thanks for sharing, Elizabeth! :)
ReplyDeleteMy pleasure David :)
DeleteI think a lot of bloggers just cant fit it in anymore. Sad, but understandable. And can you imagine a blogosphere without the Ninja Captain??? Unspeakable!
ReplyDeleteGasp, right? It is hard to fit in, but I certainly saw my numbers drop when I took my summer hiatus- in hits and book sales.
DeleteGreat choices for who you would miss. Imagine a blog world without Penny? I can't do it. :D
ReplyDeletePenny really is the little something that pushed Gary across the finish line. ;)
DeleteThat's right! Smack the dragon back to his senses, what is this BBPGS drama anyway? Hahaha. Thanks for thinking on me. I won't disappear, I promise. Dragon Hugs for you!
ReplyDeleteYep, a kick to his scaly bottom if he tries to leave!
DeleteHuman hugs right back!
I know Leigh, but I'm not sure about the other two. I'll have to check them out!
ReplyDeleteThey are worth a google!
DeleteI'd miss Gary, too. I see you on a couple of lists, too!
ReplyDeleteReally...hmmm...guess I need to hit the blogs and see ;)
DeleteI would also miss Alex.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to Jay.
The place wouldn't be the same without Alex!
DeleteI really need to get Jay's book when it comes out.
ReplyDeleteI like the concept.
It does sound like a good read!
DeleteSeems like there's a few blogging absences due to babies. I;m sure there's a market for some kind of baby holder that attaches to your computer so new mothers can keep blogging. That would work, wouldn't it? :-)
ReplyDeleteI like that idea. Or teach the kids to type early. Or do labor laws prohibit that?
DeleteLike Jay's cover. Wow!
ReplyDeleteIt is quite impressive!
DeleteThanks so much for sharing my cover with your awesome readers!
ReplyDeleteAnd I would miss those blogs terribly.
You're most welcome! And I agree, they are all sorts of awesome.
DeleteHi Elizabeth,
ReplyDeleteYikes, I guess I'd better not go on with one of my usual rants about blogfests!
On a bordering on serious comment, I can so understand how one can miss bloggers who don't seem to be around much or not at all any more.
I note your list of three. I would agree with you that if Alex, the ninja dude, or the Dragon, went away, I would also sorely miss them. I'm flattered and Penny is flattered that you would include us with those two notable bloggers. Thank you for that and thank you to the above who mentioned us and the rest.
And Jay, I'm predicting big things for your book come January.
Thank you for your kindness, Elizabeth.
A peaceful weekend to you and to those who are not much around and to those who would be missed.
Gary :)
You may still rant about blog fests Gary. I like you just the way you are...and your little dog Penny too!
DeleteI miss them, too! I was just thinking about Angie. Darn real life getting in the way of blogging!
ReplyDeleteI know! What is it with kids thinking they need meals and clean clothes and all that?!
DeleteElizabeth I've nominated you for an award if you wish to accept. Check out my blog at http://cathrinaconstantine.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteAw thanks! Of course...I love awards! Much appreciated!
DeleteAnd I too used to frequent Celeste's blog....she needs to come back!
ReplyDeleteShe posted today Jay! She caved to my pressure!
DeleteYou have a few there I don't know. I'll have to fix that.
ReplyDeleteYes, you must!!
DeleteAh yes, familiar names :)
ReplyDeleteCongrats to Jay!!
It does become a friendship, huh Linda?
DeleteThis was me:
ReplyDeleteRead name. Head bob.
Read name. Head bob.
Read name. Chuckle. Head bob.
It's so hard not to see all our old friends hanging around. =)
It is hard! After a while, people aren't just blog names...they are, well, people!
DeleteI miss those lovely girls and dudes. I really do. They are too cute as too fun. Just like you babe!!! Congrats to Jay!
ReplyDeleteAnd you too cutie pie!
Deletei miss those sweethearts too! i bet little ones have a lot to do with it!
ReplyDeleteid miss YOU woman! got to get together soon! =)
I'd miss you too Tara! And we most certainly do need to get together...it would be so much fun!!
DeleteI remember Leigh, but not too familiar with the others. And I agree with your choice of the three we'd miss. All bring their unique slants of the world to our blog neighborhood.
ReplyDeleteM.L. Swift, Writer
I'd suggest runnning to their sites and saying hi, but they aren't around much lately! It was hard to pick, because honestly, I miss them all when they slack off or disappear.
