All I Want for NaNo

As you can tell by the meme, I'm late. I've got no better excuse than not knowing what the date is; I thought the third was Monday.

Yeah, you wish you could live in my world of obliviousness, right?

Sorry, it's a tiny world inside my tired brain.

But...I had this little ditty all typed out on my iPhone and I wanted to give the writers of this anthology their due. There is some amazing talent behind this great read:  J.A. Bennet, Kelley Lynn, David Powers King, Jessica Salyer, and Becca Ann.

This is a must buy for my Christmas season! Get your copy Here!!

So, without further ado, here is my contribution to the  All I Want for NaNo Blog Hop.

It may be sung to the tune of "All I Want for Christmas is my Two Front Teeth", or not, depending on how well you carry a tune...

All I want for NaNo is a cure for carpal tunnel
A cure for Carpal tunnel
Oh, a cure for carpal tunnel
All I want for NaNo is a cure for carpal tunnel
So I can write my masterpieces!

It seems so long since I could say
Typing doesn't cause finger tingles
Gosh oh gee, how happy I'd be,
If I didn't feel like I had shingles!

All I want for NaNo is a cure for carpal tunnel
A cure for Carpal tunnel
Oh, a cure for carpal tunnel
All I want for NaNo is a cure for carpal tunnel
So I can write my materpieces!

WedMD says ice you see
will keep me typing like a missile
Gosh oh gee, how happy I'd be
If I wasn't too frozen to write an epistle!

Hope you enjoyed my masterful song writer skills...now, go buy the book!

  1. That was really clever! Yes, I was singing along. Not out loud though. My co-workers would think I was nuts.

  7. My excuse lately for things is my brain fell out. :)

I wish there was a cure for carpal tunnel too. I've dealt with it since about 1992.

    1. I bet that's my problem too! My brain fell out, surpassed the five second rule, and now has floor sprinkles on it slowing me down!

    1. You must use your imagination to make in fit completely...or do some note bending like Whitney Houston.

  18. Oh Elizabeth,

Your poem is cool. I aint no fool. NaNo you say? A blogfest you say? Make them, make them go away. And to the song by Steam, sort of, "NaNo na na, na na na na, hey hey-ey, goodbye
NaNo na na, na na na na, hey hey-ey, goodbye
NaNo na na, na na na na, hey hey-ey, goodbye..."

All the best, I'm going now.....

    Gary :)
