Going Full "Tilt"
Alice Will is the first book in this series...and it. is. awesome. It's funny, it's smart, it contains all the elements of a good read. That's not surprising, because author, Ashley Chappel,l is funny, smart, and well whether or not she reads good remains a mystery*.*I know it's well Ashley...don't have a cow! (Did I mention she's also a grammar cop?)
The second book in the Dreams of Chaos series is scheduled for release on October 11, 2013 and if this trailer is any indication, the second book will be as good as the first.
Watch the trailer...it's seriously impressive. Heck, I have a hard time changing my profile picture and Ashley put this little video together herself. (yeah she works for NASA, I tell myself that when she says smart things like yada yada yada binary code and some other crap.)
Anyhow...congratulations Ashley!! Ya done good girl.
(I just know she's cringing now! It's late, I've got football bleacher butt, and I'm feeling just a little rotten ;)
Watch. Enjoy. Envy.

The animation is stunning. So rare to see it in a trailer, although I think those are the best kind. (No, I'm not biased. Really!)
ReplyDeleteThank you, Alex! I had so much fun making this one. I think in large part it was because the book is in 3rd person, so this was one of the first times I'd gotten to experiment with Trotter's voice in this way.
DeleteElizabeth, you are too hilarious! And I'm only *slightly* a grammar cop... I do live in the south, after all ;-)
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for sharing - ESPECIALLY considering you had bleacher butt at the time :-)
Okay, that looks awesome. I'll have to check it out!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Rena! :-)
DeleteCongrats Ashley, glad Liz showed us your book.

Deleteyada yada yada, LOL! When my husband starts the binary code stuff, I say, blah blah blah!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations, Ashley!
Ha ha! No worries, Elizabeth makes me sound much smarter than I am. My fiance is the one to watch out for - he's learning artificial intelligence design and I'm just happy when I understand 1 out of his every 10 words ;-) And thank you for the congratulations!
DeleteCool video. Congrats to Ashley! Sounds like a great story.
