It's challenge day twenty! Can I manage to post twenty-six times in April? Can YOU answer the questions Iripped gathered from my handy dandy, old-school, flip through paper pages encyclopedia?
Get them all (or a few) right and you could win the boobie prize!
*I've been a lazy blogger...I blame the cold my family shared with me. That and double birthdays for my boys. My oldest just turned nineteen and my youngest thirteen. Can anyone explain how that happened?!
No? Well, then on to the trivia...
Travel Time...Back to the Twentieth Century!!
It hasn't been that many years ago...but do you remember?
1. First men to take flight in Kitty Hawk, North Carolina.
2. The world was launched into a global conflict with the assassination of this man.
3. In August 1936 this sporting event was one of the first live television broadcasts.
4. On July 21, 1969 this American made one small step for man; one giant leap for mankind.
5. The 80's saw the rise in computers, but they didn't become "personal" until this man developed a user friendly operating system.
Bonus: This Scottish researcher didn't find the cure for cancer, but he did make it possible for us to survive bacteria.

Did not know #2 but got the others correct
ReplyDelete#2 was a tough one...a little vague in the wording. I'll take the bad on that.
DeleteTwo but I thought it would be zero again. Would have been three if I had remembered the name of the Archduke.
ReplyDeleteHis name stuck in my head since high school. Why, I have no clue.
DeleteDidn't do so well this morning. Only caught a few.
ReplyDeleteHappy B-day to the boys! And I hope your cold gets better, real soon. :)
Thanks jaybird! I'm at that annoying coughing constantly stage.,..which after four kids means...cough, cough...potty, potty.
DeleteI knew about half of them though I should have known them all... :)
ReplyDeleteIt's all right. The wording could have been better on the questions. Blame the cold medicine!
DeleteI'm on a tear. Of course, twentieth century history has always had a bit of a place in my heart...
ReplyDeleteRaise the roof! Way to go girl. :)
DeleteI couldn't think of Alexander Flemming! Rats.
ReplyDeleteHappens to the best of us...you evidently got Franz Ferdinand!
DeleteGreat trivia, love it:)
ReplyDeleteThanks Rebecca!
DeleteMeh, only three. I should have known the others though.
ReplyDeleteI'm giving the cold medicine a bit of the blame...some of the questions could have been worded better. :)
DeleteOnly knew a couple. But still learned something! bonus!
ReplyDeleteAnd learning is what is most important!
DeleteBummer, I didn't get the Olympics.
ReplyDeleteI've been to Kittyhawk. They have a cool museum there.
I've been there too! Climbed to the top of the monument, my husband told the boys it was a vampire vault, and back down we went...quickly!
DeleteHappy B'day boys. Got none today, forgot Neil's name.
ReplyDeleteThanks Sheena-kay! I'm late checking in, but I'll pass the word onto to them. :)
DeleteI'd have aced it if I could have remembered the Archduke's name.
ReplyDeleteAh man! Doesn;t that just irk you?
Delete#1, #3, #4, #5. I was gonna write about Orville for "O" day. Happy birthday to your boys. You didn't plan for them to have the same bdays? lol
ReplyDeleteI'm late reading this...A-Z is whooping my hiney!
DeleteMy boys don't have the exact same birth date, they are 4 days apart...well, 6 years minus 4 days apart.
These were tough... Only got three today...
ReplyDeleteI hope you're feeling way better.
AND THANKS... I was told your package had arrived. I can't wait to read your book!
You are too kind...
Glad it was a friend like you Michael! You're such a bright light in the blogosphere. So glad I bumped into you. :)
DeleteI didn't know #3, or the bonus. Interesting stuff.
ReplyDeleteThanks Rachel!
