A-Z Trivia Challenge: Roaming Rome

Read about the Challenge Here!

The Encyclopedia,

Social Media,

& Me!!

It's challenge day eighteen! Can I manage to post twenty-six times in April? Can YOU answer the questions I ripped  gathered from my handy dandy, old-school, flip through paper pages encyclopedia?

Get them all (or a few) right and you could win the boobie prize!

R is for:

Rome: The Eternal City

1. The Apolostolic Palace is the home of this chapel where Michelangelo created magic on 12,000 feet of ceiling.

2. Also known as the Flavian Amphitheater, this huge structure was the official site of sparring gladiators; or when flooded, the place to hold a mock sea battle.

3. The Ides of March is the notorious reminder of this ruler's assassination.

4. According to legend, if you throw a coin in this fountain, you will return to Rome.

5. Whether true or not, it's said that this fascist made the trains run on time.

Bonus: Some say this emperor, who supposedly fiddled while Rome burned,  was the Anti-Christ who will return one day and bring Apocalyptic destruction and persecution with him.

Viva la Roma...well, all but that Nero fella

Chapel; 2. The Colosseum; 3. Julius Caesar; 4. Trevi Fountain; 5. Benito Musolini; Bonus: Nero)

  1. Ha! All but that Nero fella! LMAO.

Seriously though, I loved these ones (Italian by recipe book, that's me).

I have been loving your A to Z challenge, what a brilliant theme.

    1. I'm not sure if he really did or if that's just rumor. But it makes for a better story!

  10. Got 'em today! Musolini is probably the only Italian leader I could name. I'm so not current on my international politics.

  12. I knew Nero was the fiddler but I didn't know he was also rumored to be the anti-Christ! LOL, fun bit of trivia.

    1. I didn't know that either. I knew one of the emperors was said to be the anti-Christ, but never knew which one.
