It's challenge day twenty-two! Can I manage to post twenty-six times in April? Can YOU answer the questions Iripped gathered from my handy dandy, old-school, flip through paper pages encyclopedia?
Get them all (or a few) right and you could win the boobie prize!
Valiant alphabetizers~ we have made it to:
Victory is near!
1. In Norse mythology, it is the most beautiful mansion in Asgard, where slain warriors feast.
2. The genius artist who cut off his ear...or so the story goes.
3. French novelist, possibly the father of science fiction, who is credited with "Twenty Leagues Under the Sea" & "Around the World in Eighty Days"
4. Italian explorer whose name was given to the New World; if not for him, I'd probably be living in North Columbus, not North America.
5. The prince of Walachia whose cruelty was so sadistic he was nicknamed Dracula.
Bonus: This Roman goddess, the symbol of the hearth and home, was worshiped in a public shrine by six virgins.

Okay, and now I'm back to feeling dumb. ;) I knew #2! That was about it.
ReplyDeleteThese were tough ones...don't feel bad!
DeleteDid not know #1 and the bonus question
ReplyDeleteYou dis well! Way to go.
DeleteI'd didn't know the fourth one, but got the others.
ReplyDeleteYou are a trivia ninja too!
DeleteOH wow!!! Five! Great for me! :D
ReplyDeleteYou're "hot" today. (A little dragon pun)
DeleteI only knew Amerigo for number four, but full marks apart from that. Denied!!
ReplyDeleteAmerigo gets you half credit. :)
DeleteOne three and five was all I got this morning. I'm slipping!!
ReplyDeleteThat's pretty impressive; these were hard ones.
DeleteI knew all of these but #4. My great ancestor was a famous sailor who sailed with Columbus, so I feel like I should have known that one.
ReplyDeleteHow cool is that? I have very little clue who my ancestors are...evidently no one very exciting!
DeleteAll but #4. Funny that he isn't better known considering the name and all that...
ReplyDelete#4 is giving everyone trouble!
DeleteI knew all but #4...once again, I feel smart...woohoo! :)
ReplyDeleteYou are smart!
DeleteI missed number four as well. And Valhalla was at the tip of my tongue. LOL.
ReplyDeleteIt's that rotten #4 tripping people up.
DeleteAnd I hate it when I know it, but can't think of the name. Grr.
I totally had that one in the bag. Wahoo! I'm "V" savvy. Love this trivia, btw, and I'm wondering how I've made it to your blog this many times and not become a follower. Silly me. Remedied now.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you followed...that way I can stalk you down and follow back!
DeleteI got 1,2, and 5.
ReplyDeleteThat's awesome!
Delete80%... I'm so... average... :)
ReplyDeleteYou're far from average. I mean heck...you tallied up your own grade! That's pretty darn special.
