IWSG Summer Sluggish...

| App Up! Camp. Better than time spent behind a desk. |
July was crazy-busy. Vacation. Work conference. A summer camp with kids. August snuck up on me like a thief. We're six days into the new month and I haven't had time to flip over my calendar page.
As for writing, I have finished the first draft of my latest novel. It still needs to be beta-read, edited, and polished. My biggest insecurity is, as always, finding the time to balance it all. And the deeper insecurity of...are the tales I spin worthy of the time they take from real life? If I put that effort into my house, I'd have my cabinets painted already!
Thanks to this month's awesome co-hosts! Ronel Janse van Vuuren, Natalie Aguirre, Sarah - The Faux Fountain Pen, and Olga Godim, thank you, guys!
What is the most unethical practice in the publishing industry? So many to choose from! I'll keep it simple: anything that robs a creative of their rights or the money they deserve.

Exactly - you've summed up the whole industrial crime.
First draft done! Work on it - the cabinets can wait.
ReplyDeleteit's awesome you got your first draft done. I'm trying to get cleaning projects done now, so I know the struggle of balancing it all.
ReplyDeleteHooray for finishing the first draft. That is huge!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on finishing the first draft! I'm sure it will be worth it in the end.
