It's a Good Friday

As a kid, I thought naming the day Jesus was crucified Good Friday was the most selfish, meanest thing ever. Good for us, not so good for Jesus.

I also thought it was really mean that the Trix kids would never share with the rabbit. And don't even get me started on those brats out to steal Lucky's delicious marshmallow cereal.

I'm older now and have a better grasp of sacrifice and humor.

So, in that broadened thinking, I will share with you a few laughs that also remind us of the real glory of Good Friday.

Have a great Easter weekend!

Now, onto this week's good thing check-in!!

Thanks to our hosts LexaL.G, and Tonja Drecker for this weekly good things check in!

My oldest, Caleb, is home for the weekend! His birthday is the 18th, so he's here to get his gifts and his Easter basket.

We finally got around to getting Artemis spayed. She's groggy and sore, but we're happy not to have to worry about puppies!

My  youngest, Conner, was nominated as a chamber of commerce youth of the year! Voting is going on now. And anyone, anywhere can vote...all you need is an email address.

Soo, if you'd like to cast a vote for my baby (Conner Seckman) I won't complain ;)

Vote for Conner here!

Another great read in the Piper Morgan series!

Piper Morgan tries her hand at acting in the fourth book of the charming Piper Morgan series.
Piper’s mom is helping out at a local pool shop, and the owner wants to shoot a commercial for his store. Piper thinks it’s the PERFECT opportunity to get in front of the camera and experience a little bit of showbiz. But will Piper’s contribution to the TV commercial make a splash—or will it go belly-up?

    1. Maybe a YOLO with a caveat- YOLO on earth? That would work for me.

That was funny. He should have gone boo, though that might have had them meeting the Holy Ghost a little too soon.

  17. Hope you had a wonderful Easter.
Lucky Charms is the cereal of extremes: yummy, colorful marshmallow goodness and the utterly grotesque brown bits. It's mean of any kid to keep all the marshmallow goodness to themself and not share with me.
    Hope you're well, girlie.

  19. Some countries call the day Black Friday. And the Trix Rabbit should be given some cereal. Those greedy kids need to learn to share.

  20. Those memes made me chuckle. :P

Shucks. It looks like I'm late to vote.
