It's a Good Friday
As a kid, I thought naming the day Jesus was crucified Good Friday was the most selfish, meanest thing ever. Good for us, not so good for Jesus.
I also thought it was really mean that the Trix kids would never share with the rabbit. And don't even get me started on those brats out to steal Lucky's delicious marshmallow cereal.

I'm older now and have a better grasp of sacrifice and humor.
So, in that broadened thinking, I will share with you a few laughs that also remind us of the real glory of Good Friday.
Have a great Easter weekend!
Now, onto this week's good thing check-in!!
My oldest, Caleb, is home for the weekend! His birthday is the 18th, so he's here to get his gifts and his Easter basket.
We finally got around to getting Artemis spayed. She's groggy and sore, but we're happy not to have to worry about puppies!
My youngest, Conner, was nominated as a chamber of commerce youth of the year! Voting is going on now. And anyone, anywhere can vote...all you need is an email address.
Soo, if you'd like to cast a vote for my baby (Conner Seckman) I won't complain ;)

Another
great read in the Piper Morgan series!
Piper’s
mom is helping out at a local pool shop, and the owner wants to shoot a
commercial for his store. Piper thinks it’s the PERFECT opportunity to get in
front of the camera and experience a little bit of showbiz. But will Piper’s
contribution to the TV commercial make a splash—or will it go belly-up?

Nothing wrong with such humor indeed. Poor rabbit never got any though, how rude haha No puppies? Didn't want a zoo? lol
ReplyDeleteNope, no more pets! We're running a domesticated zoo already.
Deleteha ha ... watch out on all that chocolate. It's evil stuff. (happy Easter)
ReplyDeleteIt is so very addictive, that's for sure!
DeleteI voted for Conner before, glad you have Caleb home. Wish him happy birthday from me. We started our rabbits today - yummy.
ReplyDeleteThanks Jo!! I will pass along the birthday wishes.

DeleteHehehehehe I love the first one especially. :-D I hope you had a wonderful Easter.
ReplyDeleteThanks! I did. I hope you had a great one too.
DeleteYay to Stephanie! And I wish Jesus said YOLO.
ReplyDeleteMaybe a YOLO with a caveat- YOLO on earth? That would work for me.
DeleteMaybe he should have said these things. We'd relate better if he had. Here's to Connor winning! voted.
ReplyDeleteHe did turn the water into wine...eternal cool points for that.
DeleteSuper humour! Laughter has such healing powers. Good luck to Connor!! Hope you enjoyed the Easter holiday, Elizabeth. Take care.
ReplyDeleteThanks Nicola! We did have a great Easter. I hope yours was just as good.
DeleteYay for Stephanie, and yay for your boys! Wow. Youth of the year...
ReplyDeleteMy husband was griping about the whole Good Friday thing too. Great minds, eh?
It is the most selfishly named holiday ever!
DeleteAwesome about your boys! We hope you had a great Easter. And your oldest had a good birthday. I do enjoy a good Easter meme. http://img209.imageshack.us/img209/4636/raptorjesusphotou4.jpg
ReplyDeleteIt was all good.
DeleteThat was funny. He should have gone boo, though that might have had them meeting the Holy Ghost a little too soon.
Love the humor, Elizabeth. How nice to have your oldest home. There's nothing like having the family together, is there?
ReplyDeleteThe older they get, the more precious the time together is.
DeleteI loved this post! Great that you have family together.
ReplyDeleteThere's nothing more special than time together!
DeleteHappy Easter! Love your sense of humor!
ReplyDeleteThanks Tyrean!
DeleteI had similar thoughts to you when a kid. I love your things jesus never said. lol Hope you had a wonderful Easter.
ReplyDeleteCongrats to Connor. Hope you had a fantastic and chocolatey Easter.
ReplyDeleteHope you had a wonderful Easter.
ReplyDeleteLucky Charms is the cereal of extremes: yummy, colorful marshmallow goodness and the utterly grotesque brown bits. It's mean of any kid to keep all the marshmallow goodness to themself and not share with me.
Hope you're well, girlie.
Love your humor. Happy Birthday to Caleb.
ReplyDeleteSome countries call the day Black Friday. And the Trix Rabbit should be given some cereal. Those greedy kids need to learn to share.
ReplyDeleteThose memes made me chuckle. :P
ReplyDeleteShucks. It looks like I'm late to vote.
