Congratulations to the IWSG!
Congratulations to Alex Cavanaugh and the IWSG team. I believe it was less than a year ago that Alex said he wanted the IWSG to make the top 100 list of writing spots, and he did it. There are times when I feel totally frustrated with all things. I'll want to lose weight, hit the best seller list, and create a house that is totally Pinterest pin worthy...and I want to do them all yesterday.
Brain chaos and goal diffusion are probably my biggest weaknesses and do more to propagate insecurity than anything else. It's energy sapping, frustrating, and a total pain in the arse.
That's why it's good to have friends like Alex. Level-headed role models who are reminders that hard work, focus, and dedication to the details pays off in the end.
Now, I need to go. I must go weed my flower beds.
If only life was idyllic... Be summer happy! |
Alex deserves a big congrats indeed. Brain chaos can be fun, so let it run lol
ReplyDeleteLevel headed - I have the world fooled, don't I?
ReplyDeleteThanks, Elizabeth! You are part of the reason for that accomplishment.
Congrats to all! :D
ReplyDeleteYeh for IWSG!
ReplyDeleteIn my case, it would be flower the weed beds. :)
Yay for the IWSG! :) Hope you're enjoying your summer.
ReplyDeleteYay for Alex. He's like the silent supporter that pulls for all of us. However, I can assure you that brain chaos attacks us all.
ReplyDeleteWishing you the best.
Shalom aleichem,
Pat G at Everything Must Change
I wholeheartedly agree with all you said about ISWG and Alex's hard work to get where it is.
ReplyDeleteYou will get a best seller one of these days, I am sure of it.
Woohoo! That's very awesome. Definitely well deserved.
ReplyDeleteChampagne and toasts around!
ReplyDeleteThis is wonderful! Bravo to everyone involved. Have a wonderful summer, Elizabeth!
ReplyDeleteHi, Elizabeth....
ReplyDeleteYAY for the IWSG! Love the pic of the perfect dream house... yes... it would be nice for sure...
HUGE congratulations to Alex - I so love to hear of success stories! And Elizabeth, you really mustn't berate yourself for not having utter perfection in every aspect of your life. You're amazing and that's all that matters <3

I'm happy with goal dysfunction.
ReplyDeleteI envy people that have the time and patience to do things like gardening. :-)
ReplyDeleteJuly IWSG
Enjoy that weeding:) I spent last weekend doing the same:)
ReplyDeleteHey Elizabeth,
ReplyDeleteA mention of IWSG and hey, I almost come out of hibernation. Of course, there was a rumour circulating that IWSG meant "I Was Seeking Gary"! LOL
Weeding can help reduce brain chaos.
Congrats to all at IWSG.
Thank you, Elizabeth.
Gary :)
Lose weight, clean house, get rid of weeds, write bestseller--Dude! We have the same to-do list!
ReplyDeleteSuch awesomeness for IWSG, eh? We were weeding yesterday--one of those jobs that NEVER ends in Florida. I would like to lose weight too, but probably not for another 2 months...or so they tell me. Here's to getting done what we can as we go and not sweating the rest, eh?
ReplyDelete"Brain chaos and goal diffusion" sounds nasty - I prescribe chocolate!
ReplyDeleteIndeed, big congrats to Alex, what a great achievement - and what a wonderful support network has grown up around the IWSG :-)
It's a great achievement for Alex and the IWSG team! :)
ReplyDeleteOh yeah, focus does make a difference. I have been trying to get a lot done at the same time, and ended up getting nothing done. Now I'm starting with one thing at a time, and I'm checking them off one by one.
ReplyDeleteWow, that's awesome! I love seeing such a great group thrive like that.
ReplyDeleteYeah, it's pretty awesome indeed!
ReplyDeleteIts awesome news and a well orchestrated help and support network for writers.
