18 Reasonable Thoughts

Greetings, fellow book nerds! I’m YA author Jamie Ayres, and I’m sooo excited to announce that 18 Thoughts, the final book in the My So-Called Afterlife trilogy, is finally available from Curiosity Quills Press! Toss the virtual confetti, because it’s been three years in the making (and virtual confetti is a lot less messy).

While I’m in the midst of my six week marketing campaign, this is Elizabeth’s Book Birthday Eve for Defying Reason. Yep, you heard me right . . . Defying Reason releases tomorrow! Who’s excited?! I know I am, and to celebrate, we’ve decided to switch blogs today. She’s over at mine talking about 18 Thoughts That Defy Reason...or as she puts it, thoughts that make her brain go hmm. And let me tell you, they are HILARIOUS, so make sure you check them out here! In the meantime, since Olga (my main character in my trilogy) is a huge nerd and so am I, today I want to share 18 Reasonable Thoughts that I borrowed from three nerdy characters who I love: Spock from Star Trek, Detective Sherlock Holmes, and Sheldon from Big Bang Theory. And yes, three prongs is a trident.
However, if the prongs are really short, regardless of the number, it's a spork.

I love all three of those guys! I want to print this entire page out, but the one that hangs with me today is decisions killing options and opportunities. I knew there was a reason I have problems making my mind up about things.

I understand the fear of those pronged thingys. I'm partial to chopstix myself. As to computers serving us. I used to think so, but after two have let me down with lovely thuds, I gaze longingly at my retired electric typewriter molding on the top shelf of the closet.

In view of the way life is being lived today, No. 6 is my selection. People are definitely being ruled by their computer servants.

Loved all of them but my absolute favorite has to be the Big Bang Theory. Always makes me laugh.

As a confirmed non-romantic (my husband has confirmed it on more than one occasion) I find Sheldon's need for oxygen to be most compelling.

I found it hard to pick who said what. I'm going to guess that 1-8 is Spock, 9-16 is Sherlock and 17 & 18 is Sheldon.
