Happy Monday!
It's still snowing here. School is still getting canceled, delayed, and otherwise not happening. Conner (boy #4) is all excited. He's thinking if the nine weeks ends without ever having been to school, he should be an easy shoe in for a 4.0.Did I mention his career goals are to become a taxidermist/trapper/farmer?
I asked him if he could earn a living with that combo, and he assured me he'd have plenty of money to live comfortably in our basement.
Ah yes. My baby boy.
And speaking of boys...
This weekend, I must have gotten this video from six different people. Posted to Facebook, emailed, and tweeted...people wanted me to know...this video reminded them of me.
I must say- I watched it and every word this lady sings is truth.
Raising boys was/is a trip...well worth the broken furniture, the smelly cleats, and $1,000 car insurance bill.
Now, before you go...be sure to visit me on my tour stops.
@Carrie Butler's discussing cool spy terms.
lol I broke so much too. Living in the basement sounds like a good way to make money
ReplyDeleteThere is something about boys and throwing stuff. Last night they tossed a pie box over a spinning ceiling fan...over and over again like they were practicing for an Olympic sport.
DeleteWell...at least he's got a plan, right? Too funny!
ReplyDeleteIt's a plan alright! And I'm sure as he moves onto high school his goals will expand. Maybe.
DeleteSounds like he could make a decent living as a snow removal professional. :)
ReplyDeleteThat he could! And they have :)
DeleteLOL I love Conner's thinking. :D
ReplyDeleteHe lives from the heart with an easy going style.
DeleteYes, we are rather destructive. In my defense, our dogs helped.
ReplyDeleteDon't even remind me of the dog. Mine is on the naughty list...he doesn't like the snow on his paws and keeps sneaking to the basement to do his business. Grrr.
DeleteRaising boys is definitely different than raising girls! I bought a plaque for one of my daughter's-in-law back when she ONLY had four boys. It said: "Mothers of boys work from son up 'til son down."
ReplyDeleteI LOVE THAT!!! I am definitely hunting that plaque down.
DeleteI've seen it all over Pinterest if that helps! AND I just remembered....it wasn't a plaque I gave to her, it was a large picture frame that held four photos, and was perfect since she had four boys at that time! :)
DeleteIt's snowing and icy cold up here too but for some reason work never closes! Too bad, I'd love a snow day :-)
ReplyDeleteNo, work never does. That is so unfair!
DeleteWatching that video made me exhausted from the very start. 4 boys? I can barely handle the destruction of 4 small dogs.
ReplyDeleteDogs; boys...not much difference ;)
DeleteHmmm...well, he's got the makings of a plan going there. And he's considering the home space, though it's still your home lol!!
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't ever have to deal with empty nest, right? Well, his big brothers had plans of never leaving home, but high school wiped that from their brains!
Deletewe are getting snow tonight… seriously? Enough of this already….
ReplyDeleteI just saw that on the news. My kids are eagerly hoping...
DeleteNo snow here where I am in England. We've even missed all the flooding that other parts have.
ReplyDeleteKeep enjoying your book tour. I'll have to catch up.
I would ship you some snow, but ours is finally melting. I actually saw grass this morning!
DeleteThe video is adorable. I thank God I don't have a basement.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Janie
LOL. I'm sure if necessary, he'd make do with a spare bedroom ;)
DeleteI don't even have a spare bedroom anymore. I turned it into a TV room and gave away the bed. HA! Who's clever?
DeleteLOL! You are waaaayyy too clever. Mine would probably claim the couch as his spot.
DeleteEnough money to live comfortably in your basement? Nice. I like the way he's aiming high. I mean the basement is way more comfortable than the attic.
ReplyDeleteSnow days are much nicer when it's school you're missing. They're terrible when you're still required to show up to work!
It's funny, when it snows on a Saturday, my kids will get bummed. They're like, what a waste of good snow. They're so funny!
