Now, I'm heading to the southern part of West Virginia for another playoff game. Yep, I will be freezing my toes off, but it's football time!
But, if you're looking for my smiling face and some crazy cat lady wisdom, virtual me is still hanging out with Alex Cavanaugh!
And this little ol' site is in good hands. Nicole Zoltack is here!
And this little ol' site is in good hands. Nicole Zoltack is here!
She ain't talkin' turkey, but she is talkin' super heroes.
The Allure of Superheroes
Right now, superheroes are everywhere: in movies, TV shows,
and comics. With dashing heroes to save the day, we all know everything is
going to turn out all right. So why watch the movies?
For the excitement. Superhero movies promise plenty of
action and adventure. And, almost always, a little romance. There are always
dastardly villains. Good and evil--that classic, age-old battle.
So it's no surprise that for my next release, I decided to
write about superheroes. In October, BLACK HELLEBORE will be released. It's the
first in a superhero romance trilogy. Nicholas Adams is far from a hero when
the story starts out. He's down on his luck, has no place to live, no job. He's
basically a bum. Doesn't sound like much of a hero, huh? But that's okay.
Things change for him. Oh, boy, do they change!
Who is your favorite superhero? Which superhero movie is
your favorite?
Blurb:
Once a year
for the past decade, Nicholas Adams returns to Falledge and leaves a black
hellebore on his girlfriend's grave. While fleeing Falledge, he spies a shady
man sneaking into the laboratory. Nicholas chases after him and dies for his
trouble. A witch brings him back to life, only Nicholas is not the same man.
Turns out, magic combined with a black hellebore in his pocket changed him into
a kind of a super man.
Julianna
Paige, his girlfriend's twin and deputy of Falledge, struggles to solve several
murders. Nicholas, and his alter ego the Black Hellebore, helps her, even as
she helps him move on and start to truly live again.
Unfortunately,
Nicholas wasn't the only one changed in the laboratory explosion, and now a
super villain is bent on destroying Falledge, and killing the Black Hellebore.
But falling in love might prove more dangerous than any super villain.

Bio:
Nicole
Zoltack loves to write fantasy/paranormal, romances, horror, historical, for
adults and young adults, novels, short stories, and flash pieces. She doesn't
want to get boxed in by genre -- she might be claustrophobic! She's also
an editor for MuseItUp Publishing and works as a freelance editor.
When
she isn't writing about girls wanting to be knights, talking unicorns, and zombies,
she spends time with her loving family. She loves to ride horses (pretending
they're unicorns, of course!) and going to the Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire,
dressed in period garb. Her favorite current TV show is The Walking Dead.
Thanks for having me!

ReplyDeleteSeriously though, I hope you have a great, Blitzy day!
I like the classic superheroes, like Batman and Superman. They might not have as many bells and whistles as the modern superheroes, but they have a classic, simpler formula that works.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely classics.
DeleteNo blisters but plenty tired! Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I enjoyed learning some more about Nicole.

ReplyDeleteHappy Blog Blitz!
I'm more than a little obsessed. ;)
DeleteHaha hey I write about superheroes, too. Awesome! But I'm not here to talk about me, so hey! You! You are awesome for doing Ren-faire. What's your favorite country and period? Or do you go for particular class/occupation role play?
ReplyDelete:) Definitely England. I'm part English on my mom's side. I prefer early, closer to the Middle Ages. I usually dress as a noble. I'd love to get another costume or two.
DeleteHappy Blitz day!

Best wishes to you on Blitz Day!
ReplyDeleteI've never really been into super heroes that much, but it looks awesome :)
ReplyDelete:)
DeleteHappy Blitz Day, Elizabeth!!! You rock. :)
ReplyDeleteSuper heroes DO seem to be everywhere nowadays, don't they? I wish I could pick a favorite, but I just don't have one, lol. Being married to a military man does make me a tad partial to Captain America, though! Lol.
ReplyDeleteHope you've had a wonderful Black Friday as well!
Happy blitzing!
Oh, I do like Captain America!
DeleteHappy Blitz day to you, Elizabeth - you're definitely one of the awesomestestest members of this blogger community :)
ReplyDeleteFootball time is my favorite time of year too! Well, mostly college.
ReplyDeleteBAZINGA!!!
You've been blitzed!
Have a great day!
Heather
Enjoyed popping over here for Blitz Day, Elizabeth and Nicole! For superheroes and superhero movies, I'm your woman. (Clue: my husband and I have a Batman bathroom.) Besides Batman, I'm a massive Wolverine fan, and do the Winchester brothers from Supernatural count? Iron Man is one of my favorite origin movies ever -- love his character arc.
ReplyDeleteWonderful choices! And I definitely think the Winchester brothers count!
DeleteHappy Blitz Day!
ReplyDeleteSpent the day at urgent care with my dad. So happy to be home now! Happy Blitz Day!!
ReplyDeleteSpending some wonderful time with family. Happy Blitz Day to you!
ReplyDeleteShopping, Elizabeth? Perish the thought. I don't like shopping perse and for sure you wouldn't catch me in a store the day after Thanksgiving. No great deal is worth the risk. Sigh...my girl card is certainly damaged. :-) Wait, I did buy a few things online so...that counts right?
ReplyDeleteNicole, I like the way you think. True classic superhero stuff, this. I'm going to have to check this one out. I love action stories and movies. Favorite superheroes? Hmmm. In comics I like Spiderman , Batman, and loved the Phantom. I've always loved Captain America. I've read most of his comics.
Wishing you the best on this one!
Sia McKye Over Coffee
Sweet choices! :)
DeleteI love Captain America.
ReplyDeleteHappy Blitz day, Elizabeth!
Me too!
DeleteHappy Black Friday, and happy BLITZ day!!
ReplyDeleteHappy Blitz Day! :)
ReplyDeleteHappy Blog Blitz!
ReplyDeleteHow ya feeling, Elizabeth? A little woozy, maybe? After all, you've been blitzed all day...! (Enjoy!)
ReplyDelete"Black Hellebore" sounds like a winner. Thanks for the heads up, and best wishes to Nicole with it.
And thanks for the cybersale. (Gee, I wonder how many more books I can squeeze into my kindle.)
Thanks, Susan!

Hi there! Always nice to meet another romance author. Happy Blitz Day!
ReplyDeleteHappy Blitz Day.
ReplyDeleteNicole's upcoming release sounds awesome.
I hope you had plenty of sales today.
Superheroes are totally cool, but at the moment I'm just finding myself hooked on writing zombies. Happy blitz day!
ReplyDeleteJust dropping by to wish you a Happy Blitz Day!
ReplyDeleteWooo Happy Blitz Day :)
ReplyDeleteHappy Blitz day! Another football fan here - although I think we're talking about 2 different kinds of sport - soccer in my case!
ReplyDeleteSuzanne @Suzannes Tribe
happy blitz day a day late and a dollar short!;)
ReplyDeleteHappy Blitz!
ReplyDeleteHi Elizabeth :) I enjoyed the post, and will stop by Alex's too. Have a good weekend.
ReplyDelete......dhole
Great guest post. My favorite superhero is Batman! And happy blitz (a day late!) day!
ReplyDeleteMan, I'm Blitz late again...sigh. No less heartfelt. Hi! Enjoyed your bit at Alex's. Love me some superheroes...
ReplyDeleteTina @ Life is Good
Happy Blitz day to you and Nicole!
ReplyDeleteI like way too many superheros to narrow it down to only one, lol! Congrats to Nicole and happy blitz day Elizabeth! I stopped by yesterday and totally forgot to leave a comment! I'm a ding dong, which I guess is better than being a dingleberry....Anyway, have a great weekend!!
ReplyDeleteHappy Day-After-Blitz-Day. Sorry I'm late.
ReplyDeleteSo superheroes save hearts as well as cities, huh? My best wishes of success to you, Nicole.
ReplyDeleteElizabeth, I swung by as part of the blitz. I'm late as usual. No superhero has ever been able to save time for me. I'll go catch the virtual you at Alex's. I love to see awesome spread all over the blogosphere.
great post!
ReplyDeleteWell, even if Nicole is your substitute for this blog, Happy Blitz!
ReplyDeleteSuper heroes have always fascinated me, and I really can't pick one. When I was younger, I had a thing for Jublie from X-man, but I also liked Storm. And Phoenix is cool. And I watched Spiderman all the time. And the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles were awesome. And then there were the Mighty Ducks in space. Way too many.
Happy (Late) Blitz day!! Hope you enjoyed it!
ReplyDeleteHi Elizabeth,
ReplyDeleteI was going to visit your site, anyway. I did get the announcement about your blog getting blitzed, but I think it would be disrespectful to just make note of that.
So here we go onto your posting :) Great post! Thanks for sharing! I follow your blog! Ahem....Your books are duly noted and a quite the bargain price. Lovely to see Nicole having further awareness on here. I do so like a super villain. No, not Nicole. Of course, I wont mention the superhero that is Penny the Jack Russell dog and modest internet superstar! She would get well embarrassed.
Happy football, happy weekend and heck, happy whatever.
Your starstruck fan,
Gary :)
Thank you! Great post! Happy blitz! :)
ReplyDeleteHi, Nicole! Good luck with your book! Sounds like a cool premise. :)
ReplyDeleteAnd Happy Belated Blitz to Elizabeth! I hope it was a fabulous day! :)
HI, Elizabeth…
ReplyDeleteBetter late than never… HAPPY THANKSGIVING WEEKEND AND HAPPY BLITZ!
Hope you had a great holiday!
What an exciting blurb! Congrats to both of you fine ladies~
