The Post About Me...and Some Friends
Today I'm headed to Rachel Schieffelbein's to talk romance.
(On a side note....Schieffellbein makes a great curse word! Oh holy schieffelbein...works great!)
And be sure to visit Livia Peterson...we're talking movies.
Blogfest! Brought to you by: Stephen Tremp Mark Koopmans Elise Falllson C.M. Brown A blog fest where I tell you about myself. Again. Unless this is your first time here... then well HI!!! I'm Elizabeth and I'm awesome... now click the follow button and stick around. For return peeps... let me make a confession: I am boring. I never dream of sky diving or mountain climbing. I am content to read a good book. On the bright side, I suppose that makes me stable... so stable I am inert. See you at the library ;) |
For real? I thought for sure, you were the skydiving type. Oh well, I guess we can be boring together because I have no desire to skydive either. The title, Adrenaline Junkie is over-rated, anyway. :)
ReplyDeleteI know...I come across as the worldly adventurous type, but it's all rumor. And I agree, being an adrenaline junkie is not my speed at all!
DeleteBoring? No way, Elizabeth! You have a wonderful family (from what I see of the pics you posted) and you've published 2 books that I know of, and that makes you all kinds of awesome. No skydiving need here! (:
ReplyDeleteYou're a sweetheart Elise. And I just have to say, Elise is on my short list of favorite girl names. It's so pretty...you wear it well.
DeleteTWINNY!
ReplyDeleteDude-ette, you so not boring.
You make me laugh.
A lot.
You help learn me with my Engleesh.
You crock.
Er, I mean, you Rock :)
Why thank you twinny. And I must say, I have never crocked...but I'm glad you think I rock ;)
DeleteHow fun to introduce ourselves to someone new! Check us out at http://citymusecountrymuse2012.blogspot.com/
ReplyDeletewill do!
DeleteYou can be anything, Elizabeth, but boring. I can bet my golden scale on that.
ReplyDeleteNow, if the dragon says it, it has to be true!
DeleteI'll never sky dive. I may be boring, but I's still alive! And thanks for participating in the Re-Introduce Myself Blogfest!
ReplyDeleteSo that makes us good at self-preservation too!!
DeleteYou have a great blogfest idea. It's short, sweet, and lots of fun!
Awesome AND boring??? That's the best combo ever!!! (Pretty much sums me up to a T too!!!) Happy Pleased to Re-Meetcha Day!
ReplyDeleteHehe. You're right. I'm a lovable bit of contradiction!! Glad you're a fellow traveler. :)
DeleteI dream of adventures of a different sort. I'd go through a catacomb but mountain climbing, skydiving...NO. I don't even want to go hiking. I'm a big fan of the cruise vacation ad where the husband and wife are on the cruise then recall their camping experience which was marred by forest animals. Then it went back to cruise and the wife said "Never Again."
ReplyDeleteAnd glad to meet you again Liz, Hi I'm Sheena-kay.
Nice to meet you again too!!! And yes, I see "adventure" like the cruise couple do. :)
DeleteVisited both of your guest posts today!
ReplyDeleteI don't dream of those things either. Seriously - you could wind up DEAD.
And as my kids say...no one wants to wake up DEAD.
DeleteI don't think not sky diving makes you boring, just SENSIBLE. Feet on the ground that's me ;)
ReplyDeleteThat's true! Sensible. And proud to be sensible.
DeleteI like stable. I strive for stable and I doubt you're inert.
ReplyDeleteHehe. We'll not test my theory! And stable is good.
DeleteWow that was the most exhilirating post....hahaha...sparky you are so funny, you don't give yourself enough credit! You are not lame!
ReplyDeleteI said stable, not lame...stop picking on me just because you brought in Broadway dancers and and screen writers. STOP JUDGING ME!!!! hehe
Deletei judge you as being totally not sane right now.. what is IN your soda???
DeleteHey Elizabeth,
ReplyDeleteAh yes, another one of those blogfests. Think I might start up my very own blogfest that's all about why folks think I'm wonderful. What a blogfest that will be with millions of bloggers getting involved. Did I mention I'm delusional?
A fascinating, riveting list you have delighted us with. Perhaps you might join me in my 'Advanced Thumb-Twiddling' workshop? :)
Your starstruck fan,
Gary
Hey Gary...delusions when applied appropriately are money makers. We writers call those thoughts plots.
DeleteAnd yes, I think the thumb twiddling could be rather exciting. As a matter of fact, I have a hard time twiddling. I can only spin in one direction...and I've always wanted to be able to spin one in each direction at the same time!
So stable you're inert? LOL I'd say it gives you time to prime that imagination and wit.
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, you are definitely awesome! (I got trigger happy with the Publish button.)
DeleteAnd you are still my most favoritest awesome chick who is not at all a chick. (and I totally understand...I'm a premature poster also!)
DeleteNo, you're far from boring. :)
ReplyDeleteLet's just say it doesn't take much to entertain me!
DeleteSounds like a plan to me! *opens book and sits in comfy chair*
ReplyDeleteHigh five...lady after my own heart!
DeleteI am not into skydiving or other things which can cause death!
ReplyDeleteAnd premature death is BAD.
DeleteI'll join you at the library... *plonks into a chair*
ReplyDeleteRemember, there are other types of adventures, besides sky-diving and mountain-climbing... you know the non-life-risking ones...?
Nice to re-meet you!
True...I have been known to go to the mall...
DeleteYou're definitely not boring. You make me laugh! No need to do all those crazy things when you can do anything you like via your writing. :)
ReplyDeleteThat's right. You are the wisest of men! I don't have to leave my chair to go sky diving. How special is that?
DeleteHI, again, Elizabeth,
ReplyDeleteI find it hard to believe you hang around at home and in the libraries. Your personality is way to larger-than-life to be so inert!
Always a pleasure to drop in on you and catch up.
I take my mom to doctor's appointments. Does that count Michael?
DeleteAnd I agree, a visit with you is always a pleasure!
Nice to meet you, Elizabeth! : ]
ReplyDeleteNice to meet you too Kas!
DeleteA good book and stability are underrated. :) Thanks for sharing a bit about you!
ReplyDeleteI agree. Sable people hold the world up!
DeleteNow we know you're not boring, Elizabeth! Readers and writers are adventuresome, only in a different way! Thanks for sharing :)
ReplyDeletePerfectly said! Thanks for stopping by!
DeleteRachel does have a great last name!
ReplyDeleteAlso, your power of persuasion has influenced me. Going to hit that follow button right now :)
Sam
Writing Through College
LOL...I knew it would work!! Glad you stopped by. :)
DeleteI am ALWAYS content to read a good book. My favorite vacation is one of the beach with a good book in my hand.
ReplyDeleteI'm feeling ya Brinda!! That is heaven right there.
DeleteLove this blogfest and meeting so many new faces. I'm a first-time visitor and new follower. The great thing about books is they can take you to all the exciting places, so loving books actually makes you exciting. Or, so I like to believe. Otherwise, I'm stable, too! (Wait, my husband might disagree!)
ReplyDeleteHusbands don't get to vote...hehe. But you're right, readers are mental adventurers!
DeleteThanks for the follow. :)
I've seen your cover around the blogs, but this might be the first time I'm visiting here:-) I'll take a lazy day reading a good book over those other things any day!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you stopped by! And it's good to know that my evil, saturate the blogoshpere with my kissy peeps worked!!!
DeleteI like to do my skydiving and mountain climbing in my head too. That's my kind of inertia.
ReplyDeleteNice to meet you!
Nice to meet you too! You said it best...imagination inertia...what a lovely concept!
DeleteYou are a busy, busy woman...
ReplyDeleteI can't help but giggle. You are the busy woman! Wow, just thinking of all you do makes me tired.
